PEGylated iron oxide nanoparticles (amino terminus) are modified with PEG amino terminus on the basis of oleic acid modified iron oxide prepared by high-temperature pyrolysis method. Through this modification, the nanoparticles are transformed from oil phase to water phase, thereby expanding their applications in the biological field.

Product Features

Biocompatibility: The biocompatibility of nanoparticles has been improved by modifying them with biocompatible polyethylene glycol (PEG).

Long cycle time: PEG modification increases the circulation time of nanoparticles in vivo, which helps improve their passive targeting ability at tumor sites.

Multifunctionality: PEG has functional groups such as methoxy, carboxyl, and amino at the end, which facilitates coupling with specific targeted recognition molecules (such as antibodies, aptamers, targeting peptides, etc.) to construct targeted nanoprobes.

Contrast enhanced imaging effect: PEGylated iron oxide nanoparticles can be used for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to provide contrast enhanced effects.

Stability: PEG modification enhances the stability of nanoparticles, reduces immune reactions, and facilitates their use in biomedical applications.


Application Fields

 

Drug delivery system: PEGylation can improve the stability and blood circulation time of iron oxide nanoparticles, making them an ideal drug carrier for targeted drug delivery.

Magnetic Induction Tumor Thermotherapy (MHT): Utilizing the property of iron oxide nanoparticles generating heat under an external alternating magnetic field, it can be used to treat tumors.

Biosensing and Detection: Magnetic nanomaterials have applications in the field of biosensing, which can be used to detect biomolecules or environmental pollutants.
