Capture Plate 

The Capture Plate is bolted over the crank bolt head and physically prevents bolt loosening from vibration or harmonics.

Pinned vs Unpinned Version — Which Should You Choose?

MMX offers two versions of the crank hub:

Version Recommended For Notes
Unpinned Hub (this product) Stock to Stage 1 tuned cars No drilling into the crank needed.
Pinned Hub (upgrade option) High-power builds / drag / track cars Requires crankshaft drilling for 4 dowel pins.

For most customers, the unpinned version is more than sufficient.

  • Follows BMW OE procedure

  • Crank bolt torque: 100 Nm + 270° rotation (S55/N55)
