RGB Programmable Laser Lights J8 Laser Light Projector 20W
The J8 is a professional programmable laser lights system built for buyers who need more than a basic laser projector. Available in 20W and 25W versions, this laser light projector offers 1.0 mrad beam divergence, 40 kpps ILDA scanning, and multiple playback options for sharper beams, cleaner graphics, and more reliable show programming. It is ideal for laser light show, DJ laser, stage laser lights, logo projection, and laser mapping applications.
High-Output RGB Performance for Professional Laser Shows
Output Power: The J8 programmable laser lights are available in 20W and 25W versions, giving buyers a practical choice for different venue sizes, brightness needs, and project scales.
Beam Quality: With 1.0 mrad beam divergence, this laser light projector delivers tighter beams and cleaner long-throw projection than a more general-purpose laser projector.
Scanning Performance: The 40 kpps ILDA scanning system supports smoother vector graphics, clearer text, and more stable animation playback in a professional laser show projector workflow.
Show Use: This makes the J8 a strong fit for laser light show production, stage intros, branded event visuals, architectural projection, and advanced laser mapping setups.
Multiple Control Modes for Programmed Shows and System Integration
Control Flexibility: The J8 supports Auto, SD-Card, DMX512, and ILDA control, so it can work as a standalone playback unit or within a larger show control system.
Protocol Compatibility: The product page also lists DMX512, Art-Net, ILDA, and RDM, helping position it within real professional lighting equipment workflows.
Cue-Based Playback: According to the manual, ZLDA cue mode supports up to 999 files, while list mode supports organized playback for repeatable shows, installations, and scheduled content.
Workflow Advantage: Compared with a basic DJ laser, the J8 gives production teams more control over playback structure, cue organization, and consistent show execution.
Built for Touring, Installations, and Commercial Use
Housing Design: The J8 product page presents the fixture with carbon-fiber housing, making it more project-ready for touring and professional deployment.
Version Choice: Buyers can choose 20W (40 kpps) or 25W (40 kpps), and also select built-in FB4 software: Yes or No, depending on workflow and budget.
Transport Readiness: The product page also references a Flightcase option for rentals, touring teams, and event suppliers that need better protection during shipping and repeated load-ins.
Commercial Fit: This makes the J8 better suited to rental inventories, fixed installation projects, and production companies than a consumer-grade party laser light.
Better for Real Show Content, Not Just Built-In Patterns
Graphic Capability: The combination of high output, tight beam divergence, and 40 kpps scanning gives the J8 a stronger foundation for logos, text, beam effects, and vector animation.
Playback Structure: The manual shows dedicated DMX / ArtNet file structure and ZLDA cue/list structure, supporting repeatable playback instead of simple one-touch effect playback.
Project Value: For buyers searching for programmable laser lights rather than a simple laser projector, this is one of the key differences that makes the J8 more suitable for commercial show use.
Application Range: It is especially well suited for venues, event stages, clubs, touring rigs, show integrators, and laser mapping projects that need more than casual party effects.

FAQ
Q: Which programmable laser lights model should I choose vs a basic laser projector for my venue?
A:When shopping for programmable laser lights, compare total RGB output, beam divergence, and scanning speed. The J8 programmable laser lights deliver 20 W output, 1.0 mrad divergence, and 40 kpps ILDA scanning—far superior to a simple laser projector in brightness and animation fluidity.
Q: How do I compare J8 programmable laser lights vs a christmas light projector for holiday events?
A:For festive installations, programmable laser lights like the J8 offer focused beams and customizable SD-Card shows, whereas a christmas light projector uses wide-angle LEDs with limited patterns. Choose J8 for sharp logos, text, and vector graphics that stand out in any Christmas light show.
Q: Where can I buy programmable laser lights vs led lasers lights near me?
A:Search “buy DJ equipment near me” or visit your local stage lighting store. J8 programmable laser lights combine Class 4 safety, IP65 carbon-fiber housing, and DMX512/ILDA control, outperforming generic led lasers lights in reliability and professional-grade performance.
Q: Why select programmable laser lights vs lazer lights for professional lighting equipment setups?
A:J8 programmable laser lights feature a digital driver for precise dimming linearity and a rugged carbon-fiber shell, while many lazer lights rely on older analog drivers and metal enclosures. Opt for J8 to ensure vibrant RGB color balance and extended service life.
Q: Can J8 run a programmable aser show / programmable laser light show?
A:Yes. “programmable aser show” is a common misspelling of “programmable laser show.” J8 is designed for a programmable laser light show workflow using SD scenes, DMX cues, or ILDA programming depending on your controller and content.
Q: Is J8 a laser show system or just a party laser light?
A:J8 is a professional laser show system and laser show projector platform. It can cover party laser lights and dj laser use, but it’s built for production environments where timing, repeatability, and safety features are required.
Q: What controllers/software work with J8?
A:J8 supports DMX512 and ILDA workflows. Depending on your setup, you can use compatible ILDA laser controller hardware and show software, or operate with dmx laser software for cue-based control.
Q: What safety and compliance should I plan for with a high-power show laser?
A:J8 is a Class 4 laser product and should be operated by trained professionals with proper safety planning—beam clearance, controlled zones, and the correct mounting height. Requirements vary by country/region. In the U.S., professional laser show use may require the appropriate variance and compliance steps depending on the application. Always follow local regulations and standard laser safety practices.
Q: What makes the J8 different from a standard laser projector?
A:The J8 is built as a programmable laser lights system, not just a simple laser projector. It combines 20W RGB output, 1.0 mrad beam divergence, and 40 kpps ILDA scanning for sharper beams, smoother graphics, and more professional show playback.
Q: What control modes does the J8 support?
A:The J8 supports Auto, SD-Card, DMX512, and ILDA control on the product page, while the manual also shows structured playback logic for cue and list operation.
Q: Is the J8 suitable for laser mapping and logo projection?
A:Yes. Its 1.0 mrad beam divergence and 40 kpps ILDA scanning make it a stronger fit for logo projection, text, vector graphics, and laser mapping than a basic party laser lights fixture.
Q: Can the J8 run repeatable programmed shows without a full external controller?
A:Yes. The manual shows ZLDA cue and list playback support, including up to 999 cue files, which is useful for repeatable shows, installations, and prebuilt playback sequences.
Q: Does the J8 work with professional lighting equipment systems?
A:Yes. The product page lists DMX512, Art-Net, ILDA, and RDM support, which makes the J8 easier to integrate into professional lighting equipment and production workflows.
Q: Is the J8 safe for audience scanning?
A:No. The manual clearly states that the J8 is a Class 4 laser product and must never be used for audience-scanning applications.
Q: Is the J8 a good fit for DJ laser and stage laser lights applications?
A:Yes, but it is positioned above casual DJ effects. It can work in DJ laser and stage laser lights environments, while also serving higher-level commercial and production use where control, brightness, and repeatability matter.

Not a bad start

3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.

Right from the start, I was drawn in by the prologue!!!
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Queen of Roses (Blood of a Fae #1) by Briar Boleyn Genre General Fiction ( Adult), Romance, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Dark Romance “More primordial than the stars. My name was on his lips as he promised unspeakable darkness to any who came between us.” Right from the start, I was drawn in by the prologue!!! I’m a big fan of “touch her, and you die” vibes, but I mean, what’s also not to love about a unique Arthurian retelling with gender twists, a treacherous royal court, a dangerous quest, magical Fae & mystical monsters, entwined with a bit of spice! Morgan, Princess of Pendrath and true heir to the throne has spent most of her life dimming her light to feel safe and to make others comfortable. She is treated as an outcast in the court and repressed by her family due to the blood of the Fae within her and forced to join the Temple of the Three as a priestess in training to one day replace Merlin. Her brother, King Arthur, who reminds me of Joffrey from Game of Thrones, later tells her that he has other plans and offers her a choice of the Temple or to marry her off for political gain, unless… that is, she can journey through the great unknown and return with a long-lost fae weapon with enchanted powers known as Excalibur. Her quest begins with a roguish crew that includes the mysterious, arrogant, and heart-tuggingly handsome Captain of the Royal Guard, Kairos Draven, whom she can’t decide if she wants to stab or indulge in pleasure with. Along the way are plenty of surprises, mystical creatures, and betrayal, all while Morgan uncovers more of the truth about herself and who she can trust. This book had intriguing storylines and lovable characters that kept me turning pages and wanting more. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds and comes together in book 2, Court of Claws, which I just started reading!! Read if you’re into- Dark Fantasy/Romance Slow–Burn Question Everything Magic and Action Fae Arthurian Legend Stabby/Broken FFC Morally Gray MMC Forced Proximity Queen of Roses is perfect for Holly Black, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Sarah J. Maas fans. Please check the trigger warnings page in the table of contents before reading this book.

3.5 stars, A little boring to say the least.
Format: Kindle
Wow so I'm not sure where to begin on this one. This was a very different take on the legend of Arthur and Excalibur. This is told from the point of view of Morgan the sister of Arthur. Honestly the first 50% of this book is world building and character building which unfortunately was super boring for me. Morgan to me was a female MC that had a hard time in believing in herself. Sometimes taking too long to understand exactly what was going on around her. Draven was also a different male MC, like I couldn't put my finger on him and what he was all about. It was not until the last 10% of the book did we get some answers on the mystery that is Draven. The other 50% of the book centered around this big journey with everyone having a different motive. We see a spark of magic around this time that had me excited but then we never expanded upon that and what it could mean for the female MC. I feel like I want to read the second book just to see where this goes, but the spice was probably a 2 out of 5. Side characters are ok, Lancelet was fun but I almost felt like I wanted more.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
