In War of the Ring, one player takes control of the Free Peoples, the other player controls Shadow Armies. Initially, the Free People Nations are reluctant to take arms against Sauron, so they must be attacked by Sauron or persuaded by Gandalf or other Companions, before they start to fight properly: this is represented by the Political Track, which shows if a Nation is ready to fight in the War of the Ring or not.

The game can be won by a military victory, if Sauron conquers a certain number of Free People cities or vice versa. But the true hope of the Free Peoples lies with the quest of the Ringbearer: while the armies clash across Middle Earth, the Fellowship of the Ring is trying to get secretly to Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring. Sauron is not aware of the real intention of his enemies but is looking across Middle Earth for the precious Ring, so that the Fellowship is going to face numerous dangers, represented by the rules of The Hunt for the Ring.  The Companions however can spur the Free Peoples to the fight against Sauron, so the Free People player must balance the need to protect the Ringbearer from harm, against the attempt to raise a proper defense against the armies of the Shadow, so that they do not overrun Middle Earth before the Ringbearer completes his quest.

They work, but not really worth it

Off the bat, they work pretty well. It’s not a miracle and they do work but I’d look for something else before buying these again. The micro needle ones did help deeper acne but they break way too easily to justify buying. The packaging sucks and is confusing. The micro needle dots are two parts that work awfully together. I broke 2 of the 9 just trying to get them off the package. The miracle dots are slightly better but if you get it stuck to your finger trying to get it off, that dot’s a wash. The adhesive is good in some places and not so good at the edges. A few stayed on well and those that did were nicely transparent. These are not invisible but I’d run out with one on and I have darker skin. I took them off and noticed that fluid had been drawn out and overall, things were flatter and more calm. However, the amount of these things I threw away due to the awful packaging and just not adhering, I’d have to be at a last ditch effort to buy these again.

I bought this combo pack because I had one of those deep cysts on my chin that I knew wasn't coming out anytime soon. I already knew the hydrocolloid patches for whiteheads would work, because hydrocolloid bandages work just fine for drawing things out of zits that have come to a head. I was more reluctant about the deep patches, with the microneedles, because it just seemed like nonsense that couldn't possibly work. They DO work! I put one on that deep cyst and when I woke up, it was 75% smaller than it had been when I went to bed. I couldn't believe it. I was so impressed that I actually said so out loud, to myself, alone, in my bathroom. Normally, that thing would've stuck around for weeks, getting angrier and redder but never coming to a head. I used one again the next night, and in the morning, it was pretty much gone, and it never came back. I highly recommend these. One issue I have with them is that peeling them off the backing it a bit of a delicate process. You have to be careful not to fold the edge over onto itself, which is easy to do because they're so small and thin. You also have to make sure to place them in the exact right place the first time. But despite these problems, I still gave them 5 stars because they work so well, so there's that.

Worked like a charm

I’ve tried other acne patches before and they’ve always pulled excess oil out of my pores, which ended up drying, scarring, and leaving behind a dry patch when compared to the rest of my face. These effects were especially bad for my cystic acne, which always ended up more inflamed and painful after treatment. The Rael hydrocolloid patches gently pulled out all of the sebum from several pimples that I’d avoided picking at; with other brands, the patches only pulled anything out from pimples that had already been picked at/burst. The micro needle patch also relieved my cystic acne overnight. The pimple is no longer inflamed or painful. When I took the patch off, I could see the liquid and oils that it had pulled out BUT didn’t experience the scarring I have with other patches. Other reviews mention that the patches are fragile, but I don’t necessarily think that’s any different from the other brands I’ve tried. I had no problem trying to get one out of the package on the first try. Overall, I think these are a really good fit for folks with oily skin who experience scarring with other patches. These definitely pull more sebum and not as much oil, so you should see your pimples decrease in size without adding to the inflammation. The patches adhere well and stayed on all night without peeling off (even though I’d accidentally bunched up some edges on the hydrocolloid patches when applying). I’m definitely going to keep a stock of both types readily available!

I suffer from cystic acne (on my chin and jawline, so probably connected to hormones) as well as dematillomania, or skin picking disorder. It's so hard for me to not pop the big honkers, especially when these painful zits have been around for days/weeks. Last night, I tried the Acne Healing Patch (green package) on a persistent cystic zit I've already tried to extract, plus another cyst brewing on the other side of my chin. I kept the patches on overnight, and in the morning I found both had reduced significantly in size. The zits are well on their way to healing, and I finally feel like I will be able to treat cystic blemishes effectively and go concealer-free in the coming months. I never write reviews, but I felt I should share this experience with Rael patches. Acne can be so mentally debilitating, and I've been helped by a lot of fellow acne sufferers who share their experiences in product reviews. I hope my review is helpful for someone else.
