The Lukas Nelson Signature '56 Les Paul Junior is a faithful recreation of Nelson's prized 1956 Les Paul Junior, an instrument that has generations of history behind it. With plenty of history and experience paired with modern adjustments and enhancements, the Lukas Nelson Signature '56 Les Paul Junior is carefully crafted for an authentic, vintage Gibson experience.
The recreation bears striking resemblance to the original as luthiers at Gibson have utilized the same materials originally picked in 1956. A single cutaway mahogany body provides the resonance that is still common in Les Paul Junior models today. Taking note of the original 1950s specifications, the Lukas Nelson Les Paul Junior features an accurate fat '50s-style neck profile to feel solid in hand while providing great sustain and comfortable movement up and down the rosewood fingerboard.
The lone dogear P-90 pickup provides a classic and vintage voice that is refined and responsive. Recreating a voice that sings with plenty of age and experience behind it is no small feat, but with the Lukas Nelson '56 Les Paul Junior, this tone has never been more in reach. Single volume and tone control knobs cut directly to the chase for a sound that is instantly infatuating and unique. Paired with vintage-inspired hardware including a '50s-style wraparound bridge and Vintage Deluxe strip style tuners, intonation remains accurate while producing a one of a kind vintage tone.
