Deze game is gebundeld met het aankomende deel Resident Evil 0, welke spelers mee terug neemt naar 1998. Er kwamen meldingen binnen over ongewone doden net buiten Raccoon City. De speciale divisie van de stad, S.T.A.R.S., stuurt het Bravo Team om meer informatie te winnen, inclusief groentje Rebecca Chambers, welke oog in oog komt te staan met veroordeelde ex-Navy luitenant Billy Coen.
