Deze Hardwax olie is gemaakt uit louter natuurlijke ingrediënten en bevat in het geheel geen oplosmiddelen. Daardoor is dit product dus niet alleen beter voor het milieu maar ook zuiniger in gebruik.

Doordat Hardwax olie een deel was bevat is het met name geschikt voor oppervlakken die niet intensief belast worden. Bij gebruik op intensief belaste oppervlakken zal de was tot glans gepoetst worden waardoor glanzende plekken ontstaan.

Hardwaxolie is ideaal voor oppervlakken binnenshuis van hout, vezelplaten, OSB, kurk en dergelijke die een zachte glans moeten krijgen maar niet al te intensief gebruikt worden. Hardwax olie is daarmee bijvoorbeeld uitstekend geschikt voor het behandelen van boekenkasten, televisiemeubelen en dergelijke. Voor oppervlakken die intensief gebruikt worden zoals bijvoorbeeld houten vloeren is Hardwaxolie minder geschikt en kan beter de Verbeterde Houtolie worden toegepast.

Hardwax olie zonder oplosmiddel is een kleurloze olie-was-mix die gemaakt wordt uit louter natuurlijke ingrediënten. Het is een olie die het hout duurzaam veredelt, de tekening van het hout benadrukt en een sterk oppervlak geeft. De droogtijd bedraagt circa 6 tot 12 uur doch pas na 7 tot 10 dagen is de maximale sterkte bereikt zodat in die periode het oppervlak met enige zorg behandeld dient te worden.

Ongeopend en koel bewaard is Hardwaxolie minstens 5 jaar houdbaar. Door overschot hardwax olie in Stoplossbags te bewaren behoud u de kwaliteit en hoeft u niets weg te gooien.

Ingedroogde olieresten kunnen met het huishoudelijk afval mee.

 

De belangrijkste ingrediënten van onze Hardwax olie zijn:

  • Lijnolie
  • Castorolie-natuurharsverkoking
  • Tungolie-standolie
  • Aluinaarde
  • Kaolin klei
  • Microkristallijne was
  • Droogstof (Loodvrij en Kobaltvrij)

Voorbereiding voor gebruik van deze Hardwaxolie:

  • Het hout dient schoon en droog te zijn.
  • Indien gewenst schuren tot minimaal korrel 180.
  • Het oppervlak stof en vetvrij maken door dit af te nemen met Terpentijnolie.
  • Voor buitentoepassingen voorbehandelen met één laag Impregneerolie (voor donkere houtsoorten) of verdunde Verbeterde Houtolie (voor lichte houtsoorten).

Hoe verwerk je deze Hardwaxolie?

  • Schuur zo nodig het oppervlak tot minimaal korrel 180.
  • Breng een dunne laag Hardwax olie op het oppervlak aan met behulp van een blokwitter, een platte kwast, patentkwast of roller.
  • Kops hout, scheuren en dergelijke nauwkeurig behandelen.
  • Waar de olie makkelijk wordt opgenomen direct (nat in nat) een extra laag aanbrengen.
  • Afhankelijk van de temperatuur ongeveer 30 minuten in laten trekken. Bij warm weer korter, bij koeler weer langer.
  • Na deze tijd maar in ieder geval vóórdat de olie begint te drogen overtollige olie afnemen met schone, droge poetsdoeken zodat er géén olie meer óp het oppervlak achterblijft. Als de overtollige olie te laat of onvoldoende grondig wordt afgenomen kan dit resulteren in een traag drogende laag die gaat rimpelen en plakken.
  • De lappen met houtolie uitgespreid laten drogen om broei te voorkomen.
  • Eventueel volgende lagen olie aanbrengen met minimaal 24 uur tussentijd. Desgewenst tussen de lagen licht opschuren om opgekomen vezels te verwijderen.

Hoeveel Hardwaxolie heb je nodig?

  • Het verbruik is direct afhankelijk van het absorberend vermogen van de specifieke planken en balken en kan daardoor zéér sterk wisselen maar gemiddeld ligt het verbruik van dit product rond de 30 vierkante meter per liter per laag.
  • Als het oppervlak is voorbehandeld met Impregneerolie volstaat over het algemeen één laag Hardwaxolie.

Wat is de droogtijd?

  • De droogtijd is met name afhankelijk van de temperatuur, luchtvochtigheid en laagdikte.
  • Bij normale omstandigheden is de olie binnen 24 uur droog.
  • Verwerk de olie bij voorkeur bij normale temperaturen tussen de 15 en 25 graden. Verwerken bij temperaturen boven de 30 graden of  onder de 5 graden en ook verwerken in de volle zon of bij een hoge luchtvochtigheid kan de kwaliteit nadelig beïnvloeden.

Wat heb je allemaal nodig voor je project?

    • Hardwaxolie voor de afwerklaag.
    • Bij buitengebruik Levensduurverlenger aan de Hardwaxolie toe voegen om de levensduur van de oliefilm te verlengen.
    • Terpentijnolie om kwasten schoon te maken, spatten te verwijderen en de olie zo nodig te verdunnen.

Tips:

  • Verwacht je niet alle olie in één keer te verwerken? Bestel dan Stoplossbags mee om overschot olie in goede conditie te houden. Je kunt daarmee de olie zuurstofvrij bewaren zodat deze niet in zal drogen en dus volledig te gebruiken blijft. De Stoplossbags zijn herbruikbaar en hoeven dus niet weggegooid te worden.
  • Door 5% Levensduurverlenger aan de Hardwaxolie toe te voegen kan de levensduur nog verder verlengd worden waardoor minder snel onderhoud nodig is.

    Well designed and sturdy. Though not real wood I think they will last. It took me an hour to install the first shelf. That was all on me. I was slow measuring and placing the shelf bracket. I kept dropping the level and doing other crazy things. But the second and third shelves were easy after I learned what I was doing. Even though the screws, etc were provided I used Easy Anchor drywall anchors rated at 50 pounds. Just drill it in the sheet rock then screw the screw through the hole in the bracket until it clicks, (you have to listen). That means the ends of the plastic anchor flips out like a toggle bolt. Continue tightening the screw and that is it. Think I read somewhere that the board wobbles. These were tight as could be and no wobble. I did learn to only "tighten" just one end of the bracket sort of snug and let it hang. Then raise it to level and mark the other holes with a pencil. Don't put the other screws in until you are sure you can see the plastic anchors' holes though the bracket. Then place and tighten all the screws. The only negative I saw was that they could have sent the same or similar anchors that I have. But they didn't call me. Guess they didn't have my number.
