Devil’s Claw Liquid is een vloeibaar aanvullend diervoeder voor paarden op basis van duivelsklauwextract (Harpagophytum procumbens). Wat is duivelsklauw?

Duivelsklauw (Harpagophytum procumbens) is een plant die van nature voorkomt in de droge gebieden van Zuidelijk Afrika, zoals Namibië, Botswana en Zuid-Afrika. De plant dankt zijn naam aan de karakteristieke vruchten met kleine haakjes, die zich gemakkelijk kunnen vasthechten. Al generaties lang wordt duivelsklauw traditioneel gebruikt als onderdeel van voeding en verzorging. Voor gebruik in diervoeding wordt voornamelijk de wortel van de plant verwerkt tot extract. Door de plantaardige herkomst past duivelsklauw goed binnen een voedingsaanpak waarbij gekozen wordt voor natuurlijke ingrediënten als aanvulling op het dagelijkse rantsoen.

Devil’s Claw Liquid bevat duivelsklauwextract, een ingrediënt dat veel wordt gebruikt in voeding voor paarden ter ondersteuning van het bewegingsapparaat.

CHOKING HAZARD: I purchased these bones for my small Yorki.. He ate the first two without incident; however, on the third bone he unfortunately choked. As the bones wear down, they become extremely stringy, and those strands do not appear to be digestible. I had to rush my dog to the emergency room, which cost $700. Three days later, he became even sicker because he was unable to pass the remaining portion of the bone still in his stomach. I then had to take him to his regular veterinarian, where he was admitted overnight and diagnosed with pancreatitis and a severely irritated gastrointestinal tract. This entire ordeal cost me over $1,500 in addition to the initial $700 emergency visit. I am grateful that my dog is now alive and well, but these bones pose a serious choking hazard and do not digest properly. I strongly caution other pet owners, especially those with small dogs.
