Het lichtgewicht sedumdak systeem weegt verzadigd (vol met regenwater) ca. 40 kg per vierkante meter. Dit is een stuk lichter dan het reguliere systeem (91 kg per vierkante meter).

Dit sedumdak zelf aanleggen

De werkwijze is erg eenvoudig:

  1. Leg de drainagematten op hun plaats en snijd ze op maat
  2. Leg de minerale wol haaks over de drainagematten
  3. Leg de sedummatten over de minerale wol
  4. Vul de zijkant van je groene dak (ca. 15-20 cm.) op met grind (apart verkrijgbaar)
  5. Bemest het lichtgewicht Sedum dak met Sedum stronger voor een goede start (apart verkrijgbaar) 
  6. Klaar!

Nadat je het sedum hebt uitgerold is het zware werk afgerond! Let er wel op dat jouw nieuwe groene dak in het begin water nodig heeft om goed aan te groeien en te wortelen in de minerale wol. Houd daarom de eerste weken het dak goed vochtig. Dat kan vrij simpel door de sproeier er regelmatig op te zetten. Wanneer het regent is extra bewateren niet nodig. Het extra bewateren is nodig gedurende de eerste 3 weken.

Na die tijd is de sedummat goed geworteld en zal deze vanzelf verder groeien. Vochtig houden is dan alleen nog nodig bij langere perioden van warm, droog weer.

Dit lichtgewicht sedumdak onderhouden

Na het leggen van jouw sedumdak is het onderhoud een fluitje van een cent! Het enige dat er hoeft te gebeuren is het verwijderen van onkruid (ca. 2 keer per jaar) en het bemesten van het dak, om de sedum in topconditie te houden. Voor het lichtgewicht sedum dak is 2-3 keer per jaar bemesten nodig om de sedum in topconditie te houden.

Opbouw sedum dak systeem lichtgewicht

Na het leggen bestaat jouw dak uit de volgende delen (van onder naar boven, dus in de volgorde van aanleg):

  • Drainagemat 20 mm
  • Mineraalwol laag (20 mm)
  • Plantenmatten (ca. 30 mm)
  • Aan de zijkanten grind gebruiken (strook van 15-20 cm) voor een goede waterafvoer (apart verkrijgbaar)

What an excellent wrist rest! Except for this one thing....

This is a solid piece of wood with great quality. Fantastic large rubber grips on the bottom (left and right sides only). Pro: I use it for editing and gaming. And though I thought the wood might be a bad choice in the long run, it turns out it's pretty nice. Not as comfortable as a gel rest but I knew what I was getting when I ordered it. I buy things for function AND aesthetics. I love how this looks. The uniqueness is really something. I got the natural one instead of the black so that the grains and lines can be easily seen. Con: Unfortunately, after almost 2 months, the wood has warped some. Not enough to effect my typing but, enough that I notice it. The warp is the kind where the opposite angled corners go up and down. While the other 2 corners are fine. In my case, the top left and bottom right, when pressed independently, rock the wrist rest. The top right and bottom left stay grounded. This is why I took a star off. Because there's no way this should be happening. So, looks and quality are up there. The rubber grips are solid. Why it's warping is puzzling to me. NO liquid wasted on it. Or, extreme temperature changes have happened. I've made sure the rubber grips. And that the surface the rest sits on (a glass mouse scrolling top by Superglide) is clean. Yet, I get this slight rocking. It bugs me this all happened right after the return window closed. I would've simply exchanged it. I love it too much. I mean, this is, again, a SOLID piece of wood. Maybe this won't happen for everyone. I mean, it's wood. Eh I would still recommended this regardless.
