Een krachtige, gestructureerde Nebbiolo met diepgang en klassieke Piemontese elegantie.

 

De Bric Del Gross van Nizza Silvano is een expressieve Nebbiolo d’Alba uit de heuvels ten noorden vn het plaatsje Alba, waar kalkrijke bodems en een optimaal microklimaat zorgen voor een wijn met intensiteit, complexiteit en verfijning. De druiven komen van zorgvuldig onderhouden stokken en worden met de hand geoogst.

De vinificatie gebeurt op traditionele wijze met een lange maceratie op de schillen (ongeveer 15 dagen) bij gecontroleerde temperatuur in roestvrijstalen tanks. Daarna volgt een rijping op staal en deels op hout om de balans tussen fruit, tannines en structuur te perfectioneren.

In het glas toont hij een robijnrode kleur met granaatrode reflecties. De neus is intens en aromatisch, met tonen van roos, viooltjes, rood fruit en een vleugje specerijen. In de mond is hij krachtig, gestructureerd en harmonieus, met stevige maar rijpe tannines en een lange, elegante afdronk.

Een wijn die zowel de liefhebber van klassieke Nebbiolo als de ontdekker van Roero terroir zal bekoren.

My only complaint is that there is a tiny something (a little knot of thread with glue? not sure...) that is at the top of the opening of the boot, and it rubs the back of my ankle and makes a sore. That isn't enough to make me not wear them though. There's a photo that shows this. As you can see it's super tiny, and probably not even a flaw, it just hits my ankle *just* right so that it rubs.
