Het is een enkelzijdig pedaal dat de efficiëntie en aerodynamica van een racepedaal biedt, maar met de robuustheid en het 2-schroefs-klitsysteem (SPD) dat nodig is voor gravel en cyclocross. Het behoudt het kenmerkende brede contactoppervlak van de serie voor maximale krachtoverbrenging zonder drukpunten.

Is de 174 g inclusief beide pedalen? Ja, dit is het gewicht voor het paar, wat uitzonderlijk is. Ter vergelijking: Shimano XTR-pedalen wegen ongeveer 310 g.

Kan ik mijn Shimano-schoenplaatjes met deze pedalen gebruiken? Ja, ze zijn 100% SPD-compatibel. De meegeleverde roestvrijstalen Wolf Tooth-schoenplaatjes worden echter aanbevolen voor een stevigere en duurzamere verbinding.

Waarom moet de Q-factor worden afgesteld? Hiermee kun je de afstand tussen je voeten aanpassen. Een kleine Q-factor (51 mm) heeft vaak de voorkeur bij renners die van de weg komen, terwijl een grotere afstand (59 mm) meer stabiliteit en ruimte biedt voor brede schoenen of omvangrijke frames.

Is het moeilijk om in een enkelzijdig pedaal te klikken? Net als een racefietspedaal is het verzwaard, zodat het van nature in de juiste positie komt te staan. Dit is een bewuste keuze om gewicht te besparen en de aerodynamica te verbeteren. Voor recreatief of technisch fietsen met veel stops zijn de ALT- of CTRL-modellen ( dubbelzijdig) geschikter.
