De Italiaanse wijnen van Kreyss

Wijnhuis Kreyss is gevestigd in het noorden van Italië. Ongeveer precies tussen de steden Bolzano en Trento vindt je de adembenemende wijngaarden van wijnhuis Kreyss. Ze zijn gelegen in de meest noordelijke provincie van Italië, Alto Adige. Alles aan deze regio is uniek. Maar vooral het dagelijks leven heeft hier eigenlijk niets met Italië te maken. Het is namelijk de Duitse taal welke de klok slaat. Dit is aan alles te merken. Van de straatnaambordjes tot de menukaarten in de restaurants. Zelfs wanneer je iemand aanspreekt is de kans groot dat je in het Duits antwoord krijgt; ruim 60 procent van de inwoners heeft Duits als moedertaal. 
Deze Duitse invloed is ook goed te vinden op de wijngaarden. Want hoewel de Chardonnay een internationaal befaamde druif is, vindt je op de wijngaarden van Kreyss ook de Weissburgunder; een druif welke uitsluitend wordt aangeplant in de Duitstalige wijngebieden. De wijngaarden van Kreyss hebben een unieke ligging. Door de Alpen wordt de koele wind uit het noorden tegengehouden. Aan de andere kant komt er wel voldoende hitte vanuit het zuiden. Hierdoor wordt het groeiproces van de chardonnay druiven geoptimaliseerd.

Indrukken van Kreyss Chardonnay

Als er een bekende wijn is in de wereld, dan is het wel de Chardonnay wijn. Waar je ook ter wereld komt; chardonnay staat aangeplant. Haar milde en zachte karakter is zeer geliefd bij een brede groep wijndrinkers. Door de Chardonnay druiven van Kreyss op een grindbodem zijn aangeplant, bouwen de druiven voldoende zuren op, waardoor deze Kreyss Chardonnay onvergetelijk wordt.

I recieved an ARC copy of this book and was delighted with all the feels. A crazy meet in Vegas and one wild night changes so many lives. Drew carries the weight of so much and trusts no one. Relationships are not her strong trait. A Wyoming ranch girl at a rodeo trying to win a contest to save the ranch. She meets Maisie who is a straight girl that catches her hatwhen it flies off Drew's head. Sparks fly and a connection is felt. They bump into each other couple more times and end time in Vegas with one forgotten wild night. I rode a wonderful bunch of feels with this book. I yelled more than once at these characters who clearly cared for each other but could not get out of their own way. So stubborn and full of false bravado I just want them to share thoughts. It was a delicate balance to navigate the mine field which was their past and the surprise that is their future. The best part of the story was watching how love was changing everyone on the ranch. They give new meaning to running away from your feelings. It was a sweet, often funny and challenging romance. I was curious how or if they would find ways to share feelings. It kept me turning pages just to see what was next. I really enjoyed the characters and the ranch life. A good stranger to lover and then get to know you story.
