De OEM overdrukventiel is gevoelig voor falen bij de 2.0TFSI motoren. Het falen treedt op na verloop van tijd doordat het ventiel lekt en boost doorlaat naar het kleppendeksel wat resulteert in een onregelmatige stationaire loop, slecht brandstofverbruik en verlies van boost en vermogen.

Door het systeem om te zetten naar een systeem dat alleen op vacuüm werkt, wordt de juiste werking van het PCV-systeem behouden zonder de emissiefuncties te beïnvloeden, terwijl het OEM fabrieksademhalingssysteem normaal kan blijven functioneren.

De meegeleverde boostdop wordt gebruikt om de slangverbinding aan de zijkant van het inlaatspruitstuk te elimineren. De CNC gefreesde CMS PCV Revamp lost deze problemen met het 2.0T PCV-systeem eens en voor altijd op.

Om verder te helpen en het inlaatsysteem schoon te houden van olie residu, zijn er adapters inbegrepen voor aansluiting op een olie catch tank. Deze set kan ook gebruikt worden zonder aansluitingen voor olie catch tank door gebruik te maken van de meegeleverde afsluitadapters.
