Op technisch gebied is de Dura-Ace Di2 hendel geëvolueerd in de 9150 versie: de bediening is scherper en preciezer, voor ultrasnel schakelen en een verbeterd racegevoel. De andere innovatie is de mogelijkheid om versnellingen te synchroniseren (Semi Synchro Shift technologie), geïnspireerd op het XTR Di2 off-road model: door alleen op de linker hendel te drukken wordt automatisch de selectie van het tandwiel op de cassette aangepast, om de cadans en optimale kettinglijn te behouden!
