Iā€™ve included photos to give a better sense of the size compared to your store size non-refillable salt grinders, since itā€™s a bit larger than what I originally had in mind. The grinder works smoothly and doesnā€™t require much effort to use. You can easily adjust the grind size by turning the knob on the top of the grinder, which is a nice feature. Refilling it was also straightforward. I had no trouble pouring in coarse Himalayan salt from a larger container without making a mess.

almost everything about this pepper grinder is perfect. the glass the turny bit and how easy it to use and clean is great. its such a simple and accessible piece of kitchen utility and its pretty in its simplicity too BUT! there is a little plastic ring that keeps popping out as i use it. the peppercorns will get stuck behind it and work it out every time i use it and it falls out into my food about every other time so i have to keep popping in and out that little plastic ring and clearing out the pepper and hoping i don't lose it or eat it.
