Antwerpen, stad verbeeld (‘Antwerp, A City Depicted’) forms a diptych with Antwerpen, verloren stad (‘Antwerp, Lost City’). Where the first part takes us on a journey through Antwerp at the end of the nineteenth century, just before the city walls were demolished, this book focuses on how today’s city relates to its past. The photographer Karin Borghouts walks us through the present city centre, from the Central Station to the Zuid and Eilandje districts. She looks primarily at the historic buildings and their interiors, which have been substantially restored or even reconstructed. Are the restored buildings from the illustrious past still authentic? Or are they merely a kind of stage set? This ambiguity – a city in which history seems mostly to be about appearances – is expressed in the photographs and encourages thoughtful viewing. This beautiful photo book, with over 200 full-page images, makes the reader look at familiar Antwerp buildings, squares and streets in a different way, while also introducing some new and surprising places.
Karin Borghouts has been photographing Antwerp since 2001, first with an analogue technical camera and now digitally. She was the City Photographer from 2012 to 2014, and since 2011 she has been the official photographer of the refurbishment of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.

It’s much more rigid than you might think.
The brackets did not fit the range of diameters that it said it would.
Is pretty doofus when you lay it down backwards.
It is however, more rigid than you might think. It works for me.
I like it. Of course I can change things.
I like the exterior fabric and I like the vinyl undercoating. I suspect it’s going to be waterproof as well.
Now that I know, I’m not going to lay it down.
I’m going to order a second one for my wifes quad, which is even narrower than the minimum they call out. 39.4”.

Great customer service
Stong headwind caused front straps to pop off and broke/bent frame. They replaced frame tubes with no hassle! Very impressed!

As shown
Nice kit. Simple to assemble, simply packed, good weight for the metal and the shade cloth. Actual width between attachment points is 44 inches. Tubing goes together with those push button things like on aluminum table legs. Priced commensurate with quality.

Very ridged!
I put this on my can am outlander 850 and it was not a hard job to install it.
Shade cloth is nice and so far holding up good to what I put it through.
Tubing has the push buttons so putting it all together is pretty easy.
I had to make some clips myself to get the install right but it was no big deal.
5 stars!!
