Claims
Carelastin azelastine neusspray bevat een anti-allergisch medicijn, azelastine hydrochloride, geschikt voor plaatselijke toediening in de neus. Bij een allergische reactie komen stoffen in de neus vrij (vnl. histamine) als reactie op lichaamsvreemde stoffen, bijvoorbeeld stuifmeel of huisstof. Carelastin azelastine neusspray remt de werking van dit histamine, waardoor uw klachten kunnen verminderen.

Waarvoor wordt dit middel gebruikt
Carelastin azelastine neusspray kan gebruikt worden voor de behandeling van verschijnselen van allergische aandoeningen van de neus (o.a. hooikoorts). Deze verschijnselen zijn niezen, een loopneus, verstopte neus en jeuk.
Carelastin azelastine neusspray dient niet gebruikt te worden bij verkoudheid.

Niet gebruiken bij
U bent allergisch voor een van de stoffen in dit medicijn.

Dosering

Volwassenen en kinderen ouder dan 6 jaar:
De normale dosering is twee keer per dag één verstuiving in elk neusgat. Dit komt overeen met 0,56 mg azelastine hydrochloride (de werkzame stof) per dag. Dit medicijn kan worden gebruikt totdat de klachten zijn verdwenen. De werking van dit middel houdt ongeveer 12 uur aan.

Wijze van gebruik
1. Voor gebruik moet eerst de beschermkap worden verwijderd.
2. Bij de eerste maal gebruik moet u het flesje eerst onder druk brengen. Dit doet u door het pompje eerst enige malen in te drukken totdat er een fijne nevel wordt verkregen. Voor het gebruik van de spray de neus eerst goed snuiten.
3. Spray eenmaal in elk neusgat waarbij het hoofd rechtop wordt gehouden.
4. Daarna de beschermkap weer op het flesje plaatsen.
