Naar aanleiding van Brussel-Allerheiligen 2006 vindt in de Kapellekerk en in de Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Goede Bijstandkerk het kunst- en poëzieproject Het kruis voorbij plaats.Vier kunstenaars – de Duitser Johannes Wickert en de Belgen Pat De Vylder, Luc Hoenraet en pater Maur – maken vanuit het thema van het kruis op een eigentijdse manier het onzegbare, het mysterie achter de dingen voelbaar. Hun artistieke visie sluit niet alleen aan bij de essentie van het christelijke geloof, maar heeft ook raakvlakken met de spirituele noden van onze tijd.
Bij de schilderijen horen een aantal gedichten van Patrick Lateur, Manu Verhulst, Toon Uyttendaele en Claude van de Berge die dezelfde gedachtegang verwoorden. Beeld en woord ademen een zelfde geest, dragen een zelfde boodschap uit.
Koenraad De Wolf (°Zottegem, 3 oktober 1956) studeerde geschiedenis en kunstgeschiedenis aan de KU Leuven en publiceerde vanaf 1982 twintig boeken en tientallen artikels – samen meer dan 3.500 bladzijden – over lokale geschiedenis, architectuur en hedendaagse kunst. Hij geeft in dit boek zijn professionele visie op de kunstwerken.

Our dogs hurt their mouths chewing these bones

I don't do a lot of reviews because I realize many are objective opinions. However, in this case I felt it was necessary to warn others. Our dogs are aggressive chewers. Their last rubber bones (not these) which we've purchased before, and recently purchased again, were destroyed quickly. Chunks of rubber came off the ends. Since those didn't hold up like they used to, I found these harder bones hoping they would last longer. They were able to gnaw into the hard plastic within a few minutes. This created sharp edges that cut their mouths. When I saw a bit of blood on the bones, I took them away from the dogs and threw them away. I wondered why they quit chewing on them after being so excited at first. Also, these are hard enough to damage a tooth.
