The Schröder ALTO Tone Arm -

Lets talk EXCITEMENT!!!

Many audiophiles around the world know about Frank Schröder and his tone arms. Many folks wish they could own one. But the demand is high, and the supply is....well.....Frank hand builds each one. So waiting to get yours can take some time.....but not anymore.

Frank and I have had a very good friendship over the past 10 years, and have had many discussions about audio and the design of varied products. He recognizes that I am a kindred spirit, developing new ideas and products for better performance. It was Frank that asked me years ago what materials I had "on my list" for experiential cantilevers for cartridge designs. When I got down the list to #3, and I said "Cactus spines" he said "STOP! Where are you with this attempt?" I said it was on the back burner.

He said "MOVE IT UP TO THE FRONT. I have just put some in the mail to you".

Who knew?  Frank is a cactus aficionado. He grows them, talks to them, plays music for them, you get the picture. When the Cactus spines arrived, and I tested them, I was stunned. SO MANY cartridge performance problems solved. Thank you Frank for "needling me". And for being the impetus for helping me create the Soundsmith Hyperion cartridge. Now you know how it was born.

Well, thank you Frank again, for trusting me, and Soundsmith to build your new ALTO arm.

The Alto  (Asymmetrical Loaded Topology) is a unique arm design Frank has given to me  exclusively to manufacture by hand and sell. And boy are we excited. What does the ALTO sound like?? It sounds like all Frank's arms.

It makes no sound at all. That is the true measure of Audio Arm engineering. It MUST not get in the way of the performance.

How long will it last before it starts wearing out or losing its performance tolerances? Like all Schröder arms, the answer is......never.

So stay tuned ~ we are working hard carefully making and fitting parts for the early production runs now.........so that we can have your Schröder ALTO tone arm ready for you by the late fall.

Soundsmith MMP4 Phono Preamp

** Newly Updated and Improved! **

An upgrade in quality does not have to deplete your wallet.

The Soundsmith MMP & MCP preamps are revolutionary designs for their price - and the comments we get at each hi-fi show prove it. These preamps are what we use to demo our cartridges at all our shows even our high end cartridge designs -

Each hand - made preamp circuit is housed in a high quality aluminum case, powered by an external DC power supply, with easy to set up instructions. All amplifiers have extremely accurate RIAA equalization response.

Our MMP4 is a more cost effective way to enjoy your high output MC, MM or MI cartridge. Its design is based on our highly praised MMP3, and the specs and sonics make it a great value. It features 47K loading and 43 dB of gain.

Employing very high quality components, the MMP4 assures noise free and ultra-low distortion to allow unfettered enjoyment from your treasured vinyl collection. The MMP4 and MMP3 have been favorably demonstrated against preamps costing $2000 - $4000 with surprising results... and compliments to Soundsmith

Works but fibers are an issue
Size: 10 Pacck, Color: Multicolor
These were great for my small Yorkie puppy. She had to is bite issue and we needed these tennis balls to help her stretch and correct her jaw. Squeaker works well. The chewing helped but it wasn’t necessarily “chew resistant”. the little fibers from the ball will start to come off and dog will hack a bit. For that reason, I am unsure of the safety of it long term. Must be supervised always. Will try a def brand next time but this helped our lady w her jaw pain/issue.

SO MANY BALLS!
I thought id see how my Boston wud react with so many balls to choose from LOL! I love that the squeaker is internal on this toy. On the ones that hv the plug style squeaker my Boston will pull it out then proceeds to pull off the material and a slimy ball is no fun...LOL

good for puppys young dogs, handle is separate, locking carabiners on both ends
Color: Orange, Size: 30FT
This is a good sturdy leash but probably wouldn't stand up to a conscientious chewer if your dogo has that bad habit. I like this one because the handle is separate so it can be used both as a tie out lead and as a regular lead. I also like the "locking" carabiners that should not open accidentally. I bought the thirty foot version because my new puppy loves to go outside then refuse to come back in or let me catch him when I need him to come inside (not catching me silly Hooman). When he's bigger I won't be so concerned about him being outside alone but since I'm in a sort of rural area, we have the occasional fox and hawk around when the sun goes down. Not too much to worry about in the way of pests but every puppy parent has an obligation to protect their young'un till they gain some wisdom. I have stairs in the back of the house, the way this is made I can attach it to the banister easily so I don't even need one of those tie stakes that bury in the ground. The price wasn't bad, the hardware looks sturdy and should last awhile. I just also bought the fifteen foot version, same quality as the thirty foot product I like that the handle is separate so it can be used as a tie down or a leash easily. My only big wish would perhaps be some more color choices, the orange is nice for visibility a yellow would be nice and then maybe some other colors like red/purple would be good as well. The thickness of the rope means that it doesn't "easily" get tangled into a giant knot. I leave the back door open and puppers can go in and out as he likes but he also sometimes runs around in the living room and thus far haven't had any large tangles to unwrap. He did manage to get the leash caught around a piece of tree branch that was on the ground (and complained loudly) but that was only because the branch was too heavy for him to drag the lead off of by himself. These leads are worth the money, I will likely buy a couple more to keep in the vehicle and other locations besides home.
