Psammocora Contigua green is a nice green encrusting, pillar forming coral from the Psammocora  genus. Quite a rare coral that tends to come in by accident. The Green Stony Pillar Coral Psammocora contigua typically seen in the aquarium trade is green, although there are a few shades of brown with a hint of blue to them. It has long been known as the Branched Sandpaper Coral and Pillar Coral. These corals are sometimes referred to as sandpaper corals because of the fine grainy appearance they have when their polyps are not extended. When its polyps are fully extended Psammocora has a rich velvety look. This one is a nice green with tinges of red.
