Synopsis

The entire series of the much-loved BBC sitcom set in occupied France during the Second World War. Double entendres abound at the Cafe Rene in the French village of Nouvion as lusty lothario proprietor Rene Artois (Gorden Kaye) and his tuneless wife Edith (Carmen Silvera) aid and abet the resistance effort in their own inimitable way.


The Café René, at the heart of the picturesque town of Nouvion in occupied France, is a hot-bed of war-time intrigue. Look around and you’ll see the Resistance, the Communists, the German army, the Gestapo, the Royal Air Force and one Officer Crabtree (sent from “British Ontelligence Headquitters”), all in various disguises. But just where is the painting of The Fallen Madonna With The Big Boobies by Van Clomp? There’s only one way to find out...

Installation was straightforward overall. I mounted one screw in the center into a stud and used drywall anchors for the remaining hardware, and the shelves feel very sturdy. They sit flush against the wall and don’t sag or wobble. I especially love how slim they are while still being deep enough to hold everyday bathroom items, decor, candles, skincare, and small baskets. The color worked perfectly with my bathroom vanity and mirror trim, and the floating design instantly made the room look more organized and intentional. Huge upgrade for a small space. Definitely recommend if you want functional storage that also looks elevated and minimalist.
