This is a complete, fitment-matched brake refresh — no guesswork, no missing pieces, no scrambling to source the right backing plate or push bar. Designed for owners who want a single-order solution to a job they only want to do once.
This Bundle Includes:
- EMPI Front Drum Brake Kit (22-4005-0) — Complete kit with drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, brake hoses, hardware, and adjusting components (4x130mm ball joint)
- EMPI Rear Drum Brake Kit (22-5003-0) — Complete kit with drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, hoses, hardware, and axle nuts (4x130mm IRS)
- EMPI 20.6mm Dual-Circuit Master Cylinder (16-9554-0) — Modern safety upgrade over single-circuit; required for full-coverage brake protection
- (2) R63 Front Brake Backing Plates — Restored original German OEM, semi-gloss powder coated (left + right)

Fitment: 1968-1979 VW Beetle (Type 1, Standard) with ball-joint front end, IRS rear suspension, and 4x130mm bolt pattern.
Does NOT Fit: Super Beetle (1971-1979) — different front suspension, requires different parts.
Important Notes:
- Brake fluid not included — fresh DOT 4 fluid required for bleed
- Bleed all four corners after installation
- Inspect drums for cracks or heat scoring before reusing — kit drums are direct OE replacements if yours are out of spec
- Replacing brake hardware in pairs (both fronts, both rears) is essential for balanced braking

Durable, Odorless, and Reliable — A Must‑Have 3‑Pack

I’m really impressed with this 3 Pack PTFE Teflon Sheet for Heat Press (16 x 20"). The quality is excellent, and the non‑stick surface makes every press come out clean and smooth.
