ABOUT THE COURSE

This course covers important concepts in the realm of engineering project implementation, construction, and workplace safety. The comprehensive knowledge attained through this course can be vital in formulating proactive system engineering design premise so that safety pitfalls and gaps can be precluded in the design phase of engineered systems. This course is designed to cater to Design Engineers, Safety Engineers, Project Engineers, Construction Personnel, Construction Supervision, Principals/Owners of Construction Firms and Construction Administrative Staff. This course begins with the importance of safety, supported by safety statistics and clarification of “myths” about need for safety considerations in engineering design, safe practices at work and at home. Most of the mainstream, PPE, Personal Protective Equipment and their proper use, is introduced through illustrations and in-class discussion. The importance of Workplace Environmental Safety and Health – namely, indoor air quality - is covered with emphasis on HVAC Systems and Mold Issues, as pertinent to residential, commercial, and industrial design and operations. This course covers proven safety best practices that engineers and technical managers find useful in sound engineering design, successful implementation of projects, safe design of workstations, and in safe operations of machines. This course covers the safety risk analysis process in the engineering design phase, during other phases of projects and in manufacturing operations that are labor intensive. The latter part of this course deals with the one of the most significant hazards, in almost any environment, “fire.” Attendees are introduced to fire classifications and associated fire extinguishers. Hazards or arc flash (NFPA 70E) and lockout tag- out best practices are covered, as well. In recognition of the aging labor force in the US and around the world, this course also briefly highlights the importance of ergonomics considerations in machine and workstation design. Board acceptance guarantee. The audience is engaged through Q&A, classwork, and ad hoc discussions pertaining to the topic.

Topics to be Covered:
1. Importance of safety in workplace
2. Methods and best practices for identification, quantification, and mitigation of safety risks
3. PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, and its proper use
4. Important discussion on elevated work
5. Learn about the importance of workplace environment health and safety
6. Discuss “fire” a common yet serious hazard and selection of a proper fire extinguisher.
7. Lock-out and tag-out best practices.
8. Brief Review of Arc Flash and Electrical Shock Hazard

What Attendees Can Take Away from this Course into the Workplace:
1. Safety in the design phase, on Construction Projects, Industrial or Commercial Workplace, is not commonly taught as a part of Engineering Curriculum. This course offers a means to offset this deficiency and provides attendees an opportunity to learn basic, yet vital, safety principles and concepts pertaining to Systems Engineering, Construction Projects, System Installation Projects
and Work in an industrial and commercial environment.
2. Knowledge about basic, yet vital, PPE, Personal Protective Equipment and its proper use.
3. Understanding of OSHA I and I Rate Calculations
4. Be better equipped to dispel myths and misconceptions about safety.
5. Skill to perform Safety Risk Assessments of Equipment, Systems and Projects.
6. Some understanding of Arc Flash and Electrical Shock Hazard
7. Importance of ergonomics in equipment and workplace design.

Who should attend:
- Engineers of all disciplines
- Licensed Professional Engineers, who need to meet the annual or biennial license renewal PDH (Professional Development Hour) or CEU (Continuing Education Units) requirements.
- Facilities and Maintenance Managers
- Safety Engineers and Supervisors
- Project Engineers and Project Managers
- Construction Managers
- Purchasing/Procurement Professionals
- Technicians with Plant Maintenance Responsibility in Industrial, Commercial or Institutional Environment
- Other professionals whose annual PLP, Performance and Learning Program, includes acquisition of facilities management knowledge.

Madison Deserved Better
Format: Kindle
Madison was a beta...except she wasn't any longer. She was a late presenting Omega. And she was struggling. She was tall and thin, not tiny and curvy. She was opinionated. She was everything an Omega was not. After suffering through her first heat, her friends took her to Ardor, a club where Omegas came to safely find Alphas. She's not expecting much but then she connects with a sexy beta. And when she meets his Alphas, they set her body on fire. Maybe, she's found her no-strings-attached heat pack. Maybe, she's found something more. I could not connect with the characters in this book, so their story never resonated with me. And there was no love story; there was sex. Grey made it clear from the beginning that he had a true love and it was his beta boy, Rian. He went so far as to reassure Rian “Say the word, I’ll never touch her again. Lucas can put the babies in her. I only need you, beta boy”. So, Madison was there for babies, no emotions needed. Nice. No, thank you. I want the Omega to be the center of their world, not an incubator. Lucas and Rian weren't any better. After her heat, they let her leave. Not one of them made her feel valued. No one gave her a reason to stay or even offered a cuddle. And the sex didn't even come across as mind-blowing. Madison deserved better.

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat
