The mother plant is Docblock’s Anthurium Red Velvet Cake x Dark & Handsome, admired for its deep velvet texture, rich coloration, and exceptional form. The pollen donor is our Supermassive Spider — a super-select hybrid Forgetii type distinguished by its intensely veiny, spidery patterning that sets it apart from the usual Forgetii lines.
This pairing combines the dark, velvety finish of Red Velvet Cake and Dark & Handsome with the dramatic veining and bold structure of Supermassive Spider, resulting in seedlings with immense potential for unique contrast and striking form.
We’ve allowed these seedlings to grow at least 1–2 healthy leaves before release to ensure they’re well-rooted and established — ready for their new homes.
