This is an Antique Wash, softly coloured Turkish Vintage Rug which has been “color reformed” / “sun faded” and the pile reduced to produce the muted / distressed “Vintage" appearance so popular for interior home decoration at this time. Hand made in Central Anatolia, Turkey the 60s and 70s, woven of wool on cotton and in excellent condition, these rugs combine a contemporary colour palette with vintage design appeal. The reduced pile allows for flexibility of placement under furniture and ease of cleaning. This rug is particularly heavy, weighing over 25 kgs.
