PSR's range of shock absorbers, TTG, are a heavy duty twin tube gas shock absorber designed to unlock the full potential of the suspension system of your vehicle. Developed over many years of testing and fine tuning you can be assured that PSR has designed the shock to suit the vehicle's exact needs.

Most companies only evaluate things like shock valving and length BUT only redesign to suit their own construction style. At PSR we evaluate critical elements of the shock that make it worthy of fitment to your vehicle such as length and weaknesses within the suspension.

Explained below is why we do things better than the others:

LENGTH:

The original shock absorber in your vehicle is designed for one reason, to outlast its warranty and limit travel to certain components such as rack ends, CVs and driveshafts.

While we know and understand the importance of limiting travel to these components we also understand that having an OE length shock absorber means restrictions in suspension performance, particularly offroad. The OE length shock absorber limits suspension travel and has a reduced body size which results in far less oil volume and therefore less ability to keep the oil cool, which is critical in the performance and lifespan of the shock absorber!

Further to this, having a longer shock absorber means your tyres, the most important part of traction in off road performance terms and also safety, have the BEST chance of keeping traction to the ground, meaning you will get further!

WARRANTY:

We are offering an industry leading product and we are prepared to stand by this statement by offering an industry leading warranty! With a LIFETIME and UNLIMITED KM warranty against leaking you can be assured you're receiving a product up to the rigours of Australia, from the outback to the inner city! Please see warranty area for full product warranty details.

INTERNAL COMPONENTS:

Our competitors won't want to tell you what they have, because they don't have it! NOK seals are the best shock seal on the market, Fuchs oil is the best oil and combined with high quality internal guides and wearing components means a quality unit is guaranteed. Other companies look at price, however, maximising profits is not our goal, instead it is to maximise shock performance and longevity! To complement the quality of the internal components the exterior of the shock has a top quality painting process which means a long lasting finish.

VALVING:

This is the heart of your ride and control! Every vehicle has varying motion ratios and loads placed on the shock absorber. This means you cannot have the common one size fits all mindset. We have focused on ride comfort and user control to give you a smooth yet controlled feel to your ride. NOTE: varying spring rates will alter the ride of the vehicle

OE WEAKNESS:

PSR is determined to bring you the best product! With our years of experience on automotive suspension solutions we can understand what we need to increase in size and what is needed to make the product tough, long lasting and robust.

Problem areas are commonly the lower peg on strut units. Failure of this area when suspension is compressed beyond its normal range of travel can happen and having a unit tough enough to take that force is imperative, a tapered oversized peg is standard to combat this issue. This is most common to occur when on the beach or heavily whooped out roads.

Another factor that can reduce performance of a shock unit is body wall thickness. There is a fine line between being strong enough to withstand rock rash and impacts and not being too thick that heat cannot dissipate causing overheating and fade of the unit. We have selected 2mm for the outer body, this is a balance to protect and also keep the unit cool.

All this means you have to find the balance between size and functionality! Don't believe everything they tell you!

BUSH DESIGN:

The original equipment rubber bush has a certain "range of motion". This needs to be increased in an aftermarket application due to the increase in suspension travel. Many other manufacturers "reduce" the amount of rubber in the bush to avoid failure that comes from repetitive impact, "normal driving situation". This is a massive issue as there is not enough rubber material to yield and allow the bush to rotate. The compromise is a "fail safe" bush. This is an industry leading design that means the bush has enough rubber to allow for full range of motion while having the steel material to combat large impact forces that tear bushes apart. At all costs avoid steel bushes, these will make noise, squeak and while at first be the better solution, once the bearing material is gone will be a major annoyance. This means, yes you guessed it, we have the best solution again!

PSR TTG Shock Absorbers are designed to be maintenance free. However, it is recommended, each time the vehicle is cleaned mud and debris are removed from the shock absorber, particularly around the seal area at the top of the body. Do NOT use harsh chemicals to clean the shock absorbers, use soapy water to rinse only. Do not aim pressure washers at the top seal either, this pressure can cause issues and force water into the shock or damage the seal. The suspension mounting bolts, nuts and other fixings should be inspected after 500kms and at regular service intervals to ensure they are tensioned satisfactorily.

This was a favorite fourth grade class book club book during a study of Native Americans.
Format: Paperback
This year my fourth grade class read the book Children of the Longhouse as a book club book. They were divided into groups of 4 and 5, and each day they would prepare a section of the book to read, and discuss it. Then the leader that day of each group shared what they thought. I don't want to spoil the story, but we were examining the relationships that the characters and the community in the book had to nature, and my students loved that. They found it interesting to learn about the beliefs, and that the challenges people had to face and overcome. They loved the climax and the ending too. Characters that they had felt were "bad guys" led to discussions of what options people in another culture might have which would necessitate them doing things that seem bad to us, like disobeying adult advice. I love the way this book fleshes out a pre European existence in the Northeast that helps us picture what life might have been like in an Iroquois village. We love the role that LaCross plays. My students use the Iroquois word for it. I pointed out the glossary at the back with pronunciations for Mohawk words, and my students loved using them and would even discuss how to correctly pronounce them. The book introduced my students to many ideas that they had never been exposed to, and they cared about the characters a lot. They also loved discussing the book more in an in depth way, and then hearing what other groups had had to say. I was interesting how similar the things that each group shared were. We can see that we need to shift our attitudes and be more connected to the natural world all around us.

museum quality
Format: Paperback
This is a kid's book, which is well illustrated, and useful. I have worked as a storyteller in schools. Kids of all backgrounds love native stories! All of Joseph Bruchac's books are high quality, museum pieces, just really good, the apotheosis [ideal] of what a storybook could be like. gives a very good description of the native lifeways around stories, and gives another view of native storytelling. is another book that gives you native context, by an author who also has native storybooks in print, including . Entering into native lifeways is not necessarily judgeable by white man culture, as shows. One thing one notices in native cultures is that they ask new questions, something like one sees in . I find native metaphysics to be similar to Quantum Mechanics. While not a native book, gives some ideas on how life would work, from that perspective. has stories about tricksters, which are not dissimilar to native stories. teachingdrum.org used to have a list of books of native stories, which is the most comprehensive I've seen. That is a nonprofit, and I have no connection with them, this cites the info resource only. All storytelling is fascinating. is one example of European stories about animals, which are not totally dissimilar. Stories are fascinating. If you want to entrance, train, entertain, educate, and improve children, nothing is faster or easier than storytelling.

Wonderful book for many reasons
Format: Paperback
I recommend this book for its story, cultural accuracy, and high interest action. First it is an exciting story of how conflicts arise and can be resolved with an exciting lacrosse game at the end. How cool is that? But the cultural and historical details make this a fascinating read for all ages. If you want to know about the lives of Native Americans in the New York area, written by a Native American, and put into an historically accurate story, this is a great read. I would recommend this as a high interest type of reader for middle school readers, one that would challenge them as well. The story could be about conflicts today, but the action is naturally more intense. If you are looking for an accurate portrait of Native American life, Bruchac is a wonderful author for you to choose. It is hard to find good books about northeastern Native Americans.

Engaging and educational
Format: Paperback
We really enjoyed this book as a family. My children were enthralled with characters and depiction of life in a Longhouse village. We supplemented this book with others about the Iroquois Nation and East Coast Native Americans for our homeschooling unit. It was a hit.
