ARTIST BIO

Known by graffiti artists, fans and historians worldwide TAKI 183 has cemented his place as one of most well known graffiti artists ever. Growing up on 183rd Street in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan, TAKI started writing his name as a teenager in 1969. TAKI's name originates from a common Greek addition at the end of boy's names. He then added his street (183) to his name following the style of wall writers of the day.

In the summer of 1970, TAKI 183 started working as a messenger, which took him all over the city. Instead of taking taxis to deliver messages, he pocketed the fare provided by his employer, and walked to his destinations. Along the way he would write everywhere.

This unique set of circumstances made TAKI 183 the first graffiti writer to go “all-city.” TAKI's simple signature was all over New York and captured the attention of a reporter. That lead to an article published in 1971 in The New York Times making TAKI the first famous New Yorker graffiti writer.

A worldwide legend, TAKI 183 is considered one of the forefathers of the graffiti movement.

Save your money! You get what you pay for!
Color: Linen Gray
Looks great and weighted good. No metal utensils or excessively high heat and these only lasted a month before the non stick ceramic coating either chipped off or was no longer non stick. Save your money. You get what you pay for. Save up for a set that will last you. I will not be buying these again nor recommend anyone else buy.

Love it!
Color: Ivory, Color: Ivory
When my daughter moved ..I gave her my 12 piece set of pots and pans. Got this 8 piece set. I don't need much. This set is amazing! I wish it came in pink. It's truly nonstick...try eggs with cheese...you will see. Clean up is amazingly easy. They look nice and are well made. The tops have a vent hole so stuff doesn't boil over. Love that! These will last for more years than I have left. Also...they store quite easily...doesn't take up much room.

Good value, good quality, basic set of non-nonstick ceramic coated cookware
Color: Linen Gray
Really like this set! Bought when on sale, good value for the set. Items arrived nicely packed. Wanted to buy beige but sold out, so got light gray, which looks very nice as well. Followed instructions to prep the pieces with oil. Been using on stove top almost everyday. Haven’t tried putting in oven yet. Non-stick but work very well on browning: chicken wings, shrimps, meat, onions….. After cooking, let them cool completely, then very easy to clean with soft sponge. Just have to use silicone cookware to avoid scratching.
