Wines of Ukraine: The Untold Story tells about Ukrainian winemaking from ancient times to the present day. The book features accounts of the grape varieties that grow in our lands, wine barrels, bottles, and corks produced in Ukraine, as well as conversations with sommeliers and wine experts.
The highlight of the book is a series of stories about contemporary winemakers from various regions of Ukraine. These stories were gathered during an expedition that the Ukraїner team undertook together with Serhii Klimov, the author of the book and the founder of the Kyiv Food and Wine Festival (Brave Wine), in the autumn of 2022. This edition also includes two new stories from wineries collected in 2025.
Wines of Ukraine: The Untold Story — переклад українського видання, що представляє шлях українського виноробства від давніх часів до сьогодні. Тут є розповіді про сорти винограду, що ростуть на наших теренах, винні бочки, пляшки та корки, виготовлені в Україні, а також зафіксовані бесіди з сомельє та винними експертами.
Родзинкою видання є низка історій про сучасних виноробів із різних регіонів України. Ці історії зібрані в експедиції, в яку команда Ukraїner їздила разом із автором книги, засновником фестивалю Kyiv Food and Wine Festival (Brave Wine) Сергієм Клімовим, восени 2022 року. У англомовному виданні є дві нові історії з виноробень, зібрані у 2025 році.
