The OmniSpool SwitchBox Kit is a smart system for storing and managing your fly lines off the reel. Keep a spare line wound, organized, and ready, then wind it on or off without fuss, so switching lines becomes a quick, clean job rather than a tangle.
The design is genuinely well thought out. A compact octagonal shape fits neatly in one hand yet still accommodates almost all fly lines, and the sturdy but lightweight construction holds up to travel while staying light to carry. The box is built so you can still see what is inside when it is closed, so you always know which line is which.
Winding is where the SwitchBox shines. A line guide in the center of the spool makes wind-up easy and release smooth on the way back out, with no clips and no slots to fight. The interior is designed for a smooth revolution that minimizes overwind, and the one-touch removable lid lets you open the box one-handed. The spool can be clipped to the outside of the SwitchBox for external use, where the second half of the shell acts as a stand for winding and unwinding.
For travel and storage, a clip-lock system lets the boxes stack together. The kit includes a sturdy OmniSpool crank handle, grooved to fit through the spool and around the line, and it fits on either side.
