They do have a little lip where the heel is for a little added supports I believe to keep your foot from sliding out as easy. Will they slip out with enough movement? They do have a hard sole, which is on the thicker side compared to how some slippers have a thin grip on the bottom to be the sole, and is good if you have to wear them outside briefly. The size fits wonderful, not to loose or tight, granted with time and use, they might get a bit loose, but right out of the packaging, and only wearing for a small time around the apartment, they are a glass slipper fit. I stayed to what I normally wear for shoe size, and the size is just right.
