There are two average sized pockets one on each side and one zippered side pocket for added security and a rear pocket suitable for a normal sized wallet. I'm a 5'10" man and these shorts reach to the top of my knee. These shorts also have an average sized drawstring for added tightness if desired. The polyester material allows for fast drying. Nice shorts but no fly

These shorts are well made with three pockets on the sides, 2 standard and one zippered, along with one pocket on the back. They are made of a polyester fabric and do feel as though they will be waterproof. They are well constructed and should hold up well. My issue with these shorts is that they have no fly, just fake stiching on the front. Yes, they say they are for the beach, but that is no reason not to have a fly. Swim trunks are one thing, no one expects a fly on them, but on shorts, yes I do. I always like to include a picture of the laundry instructions,, I hate getting something and discovering it takes special care.
