Gold Vermeil is a plating and can wear over time. Gold vermeil is not fully water safe, but it can tolerate occasional brief contact with water. Regular exposure will shorten its lifespan. We recommend removing the piece when exposed to water and working out. This product is excluded from our 2 year warranty. We can re-plate this piece if needed for an additional cost.
(Vermeil- As defined by the Federal Trade Commission, true vermeil is a base of sterling silver coated or plated with a deposit of 10K gold or finer of reasonable durability with a minimum thickness throughout equal to 2.5 microns.)
