The Big Howdy record company has never been properly anthologised before now. It released a wide selection of rock'n'roll rockabilly, hillbilly and honky tonk country between 1959 and the mid-70s. Originally based in Bogalusa, Louisiana, it later moved across the river to Mississippi. It specialised in releasing local artists and racked up over 50 releases - a large number for such a small operation. Artists include former Sun recording artist Luke McDaniel, here recording as his alter ego Jeff Daniels, the great honky-tonker Jimmy Swan, rockabilly heroes Vern Pullens and Dayward Penny, plus the sublime voice of Wayne Morse. 25 of the 33 tracks have never been issued in the UK before while four are completely unreleased. The 20-page booklet contains rare photos and a full discography.

Highly recommend for excellent quality at an affordable price

I usually buy my bed sheets from high end bedding stores, but I decided to give these a try because of high reviews and the sale. I am not disappointed. These sheets are high quality Egyptian cotton with attention to details. They have deep pockets, are very soft, thick cotton and wash and dry nicely with very little lint in the dryer screen.

These Giza Egyptian Cotton Sheets are as advertised. They are well made, fit nicely, and are extremely comfortable. I would recommend these to any one interested in a comfortable good nights sleep. I should add that they are reasonably priced, as well.

These sheets are great. They are thick, which I love, and they stay on the mattress corners. The sheet are perfect in size. My husband and I love to have fans on and these sheets still don’t keep us hot at all even all covered up. I bought the white ones and they wash well. I bought the white because they were on sale.
