The Scratch of a Pen: 1763 and the Transformation of North AmericaIn this superb volume in Oxford's acclaimed Pivotal Moments series, Colin Calloway reveals how the Treaty of Paris of 1763 had a profound effect on American history, setting in motion a cascade of unexpected consequences, as Indians and Europeans, settlers and frontiersmen, all struggled to adapt to new boundaries, new alignments, and new relationships. In this superb volume in Oxford's acclaimed Pivotal Moments series, Colin Calloway reveals how the Treaty of Paris of 1763 had a profound effect on American history, setting in motion a cascade of unexpected consequences, as Indians and Europeans, settlers and frontiersmen, all struggled to adapt to new boundaries, new alignments, and new relationships. Britain now possessed a vast American empire stretching from Canada to the Florida Keys, yet the crushing costs of maintaining it would push its colonies toward rebellion. White settlers, free to pour into the West, clashed as never before with Indian tribes struggling to defend their way of life. In the Northwest, Pontiac's War brought racial conflict to its bitterest level so far. Whole ethnic groups migrated, sometimes across the continent: it was 1763 that saw many exiled settlers from Acadia in French Canada move again to Louisiana, where they would become Cajuns. Calloway unfurls this panoramic canvas with vibrant narrative skill, peopling his tale with memorable characters such as William Johnson, the Irish baronet who moved between Indian campfires and British barracks; Pontiac, the charismatic Ottawa chieftain; and James Murray, Britains first governor in Quebec, who fought to protect the religious rights of his French Catholic subjects. Most Americans know the significance of the Declaration of Independence or the Emancipation Proclamation, but not the Treaty of Paris. Yet 1763 was a year that shaped our history just as decisively as 1776 or 1862. This captivating book shows why. Winner of the Society of Colonial Wars Book Award for 2006Binding Type: Paperback

Not Worth the Price
Color: Black, Size: Queen
I expected more. The images are a bit misleading with the amount of fluff and thickness the product actually has. Despite following the instructions, it’s pretty flat.
It had a funky chemically smell to it, so I sprayed with some Febreeze.
Honestly in my opinion I don’t think it’s worth $60. I think if you want something similar, go to Marshals or TJ Maxx.

Makes my camp mattress so much better.
Color: Black, Size: Full
I'm in a small motorhome and this has helped my sleep quality a ton. I got rid of my big mattress because the 2 camp mattresses I have are smaller in size, but a bit dense than the mattress I had. Uncomfortable for anyone that sleeps on them for long periods and when I come from biking or hiking the pain was making it hard to sleep. These have improved my sleep quality immensely. It also, to my surprise fit well, the cushions are only a few inches. These are up to 18, but the edge is nearly a perfect fit at the start. The straps keep it from moving. The length and width using 2 of the bed rolls is nearly perfect. On mattress the deeper part of the pocket, would fit perfectly.
The quality feels great, lightweight and washable, this is one of those items I wouldn't have likely ordered, but trying it is near priceless for my usage. Couldn't imagine how good it must be on a bed.

Very soft, cool, and comfortable.
This comforter is fantastic for a hot sleeper it stays cool all night but doesn’t freeze you the fabric feels very nice it is a bit slippery on the bed but the thickness is just perfect it has a gentle weight to it and it looks very cute as well! I would definitely recommend it to fellow hot sleepers.

In love with this
Color: White, Size: Queen (90''x90'')
Update: I’m so impressed with this comforter, I must share more since I’ve had it quite a while. I like to drink coffee in bed, and I have to bad habit of eating in bed sometimes. Hence, drips and drops and the need to launder my comforter. I do not have large heavy duty machines. They are stackable RV machines. My queen comforter fits it both the washer and dryer with ease. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve already laundered it. I put a little Spray and Wash on the area I’ve spilled something. The stains come out every single time. But what’s most impressive is that it comes out of the dryer wrinkle free. When I put it back on my bed, it looks as new as the first time. I still get the sense of cooling, which I love. The underside feels so smooth, soft and comfortable against my skin that I no longer use a top sheet. Great product and so well made. ❤️
While this comforter is lightweight over the body, it looks cushy and cozy on my bed. I am post menopausal and often feel too warm at night while others in the home are comfortable. This comforter feels cool immediately upon crawling into bed. It does eventually warm up to body temperature, but if I become too warm, it’s easy enough to shift in my bed where the comforter stays cool. The size is perfect for my queen sized platform bed. I make my bed with ease in the mornings. Love it!

Really pretty and comfortable
Super comfy, cooling, and not too heavy. I could use it all year long as well. It's not so cooling that you would be cold with it during colder seasons especially if you're a hot sleeper. I really like the seersucker texture on this and I hope they make more colors available.
