Tyer`s wood case sign arm repeater was an experimental design which was most likely too expensive to produce , the white face is made from glass which was held in the brass frame as the images show. It could have been that electric lamps were to be fitted making it easier to view at night. We know of only one other example! This design is not in the Tyer`s instrument catalogue so they couldn't have produced many. This

This design is not in the Tyer`s instrument catalogue so they couldn't have produced many. This instrument is beautifully made with hand cut dovetailed joints and is in tested working order.
