Mr. Sun is a collaboration between four of American string band music's most prolific virtuosos. Spearheaded by legendary fiddler Darol Anger (Turtle Island String Quartet/Montreux), the members of Mr. Sun span three generations and create a sound that draws from bluegrass, jazz and contemporary classical themes. On their much anticipated 2015 debut album, The People Need Light, Mr. Sun scorches a set of original tunes that emanate with warmth, emotion and pure joy. With both personality and unimaginable finesse, they move through soaring melodies, titillating solos, groovy rhythms and fluid time changes. They melt and transform bluegrass gems like "Old Dangerfield" and galvanize popular tunes like Harry Nillson's "Everybody's Talkin'."
