The VELUX EFL 0012 slate flashing is suitable for slates up to 8mm thick and suitable for vertical combinations only. This flashing is used for installing one VELUX roof window and one VELUX vertical element in a sloping combination.

VELUX flashings integrate with the roof covering to provide a weather-tight finish around the window. They are compatible with any slate (up to 8mm thick), but not interlocking. Window flashings are designed to sit under the roofing materials, and then the water from the roof is collect in the built-in guttering system. The gutter overlaps a second section of the flashing to help the water flow smoothy down the side of the window. The flashing apron moulds to the roof material profile to allow the water to drain away.

Different manufacturers cut sizes differently. It is what it is. And the return process was EZ and the replacement size was in stock. Seriously, there is really no quality difference between these Amazon Essential jeans and my old $60 E.B.s No one sees the label anyway!
