Las Vegas, New Mexico has been characterized as "two towns, one place," "The Town that wouldn't gamble," and "The Wildest of the Wild West." The descriptions are at least partially accurate, but they fail to capture the essence of this small city. Much has been written about the history of Las Vegas and narratives continue to appear in popular, scholarly and promotional articles and essays. In some cases, Las Vegas' history is presented as a back-drop to the telling of a story about a particular person, era, theme, event, or some other aspect of its story. This book addresses issues in the development of Las Vegas and the American Southwest that remain quite relevant in the 2lst Century. Among these are an increased socio-cultural diversity that impacts the hegemony of this population and its effects on inter-cultural relations; Spanish/Mexican sovereignty versus American expansionism; conflicting conceptions of land and water rights; and resolving local community problems and public policymaking in the wake of divergent political cultures. The book remains an important treatise since it is a well researched biography of an important and vital town that figured prominently in the growth, evolution and development of New Mexico and the American Southwest. Lynn Irwin Perrigo, PhD, an authority on New Mexico history, was given the Gaspar Perez de Villagra Award in 1984 by the Historical Society of New Mexico. Dr. Perrigo graduated from Ball State University and the University of Colorado. During World War II he was the director of the Midwest Inter-American Center in Kansas City and from 1947-1971, he was head of the Department of History and Social Sciences at New Mexico Highlands University. He is the author of over forty articles and six books on the American Southwest.Binding Type: Paperback

Simple gold colored hoops
Color: Yellow Gold, Color: Yellow Gold
I love the color of these hoops. They are a nice light gold color that is not too yellowy, and not brassy. The three hoop designs in this set are simple but pretty. I love the braided hoop, it is my favorite of the three. The largest hoop has tiny cubic zirconia stones set into the hoop. Nice idea, but they are so miniscule that you don't get any sparkle effect, and they just basically give the hoop a little more texture.
Some of them take a little more fidgeting to close properly, but the hinges on all of the pairs open and close well and seem nice and solid. They don't cause any irritation to my ears.
They come in separate cellophane bags inside an unbranded dark grey jewelry bag. I'm happy with these earrings.

Lots of variety
Color: Yellow Gold
This set of earrings are a nice set of varying sizes of hoops. Each set has a different pattern and diameter. They are are posts that the hoops hook onto so there's no backing to loose and they self lock. I find this style much easier to put on than the huggie style earrings. This is a great value and you can give this as a gift of three pairs or split up the pairs and give them as separate gifts. They come in plastic bags with no gift box.

Dainty and well-made
Color: Yellow Gold, Color: Yellow Gold
These are the perfect size for dainty stylish gold jewelry. Minimalist jewelry is really back in style and these earrings provide a great variety of options at an amazing price! I have a few pieces from Amazon essentials and I’ve been happy with every single one, they don’t turn green on my ears, and I have swam and bathed with them without any issues. I’ve had trouble with some hoops because the clasps wear out after a while, but these seem to be holding up very well. My favorite pair of the three is the chain one, it’s not the picture because I am wearing them!

Not for those with thicker earlobes
Color: Yellow Gold
This is a really cute set with perfectly sized hoops! They look so chic and can complement so many different outfits. The gold color is very nice and shiny. The only downside for me is that if you have thicker earlobes like I do these might not fit or feel very tight. Also the part that goes into your earlobe is not a regular size rod and gets thicker so if your piercing is tiny these might not be the most comfortable to wear.

Love these hoops!
Color: Yellow Gold
These hoops are so cute! They don’t bother my ears at all. I love the size of them, and they can be casual or dressed up. They come in a cute little bags that would be good for gifting them in.
