NCB North West - HE3823 - WarriorNew to the NCB in September 1954, 3823 was allocated to the North West division, initially at Walkden Railways in Lancashire. It was fitted with a Giesl ejector and underfeed stoker sometime in 1966 before transferring to Bickerhsaw Colliery in Leigh and allocated the rather catchy number 63 000 432. Here it worked until withdrawal in 1983 although for the last couple of years carried the unofficial name of Fred chalked on the tank sides, along with a

Warrior was sold into preservation in 1984 to the Dean Forest Railway but has not run yet.
