Note

"...It's not classical, it's not jazz..."
This phrase is a sort of mantra that I find myself repeating since I started the cultural adventure of Velut Luna about 20 years ago, when I try to describe many of my record productions.
Roberto Manuzzi's music not only fully embraces this "mantra", but, if possible, further highlights those peculiar characteristics of today's great music that I love and look for in the artists I decide to produce.
These are pieces that breathe contemporaneity fully: that is, they naturally draw from the thousand, and no longer a thousand, sources of inspiration that have filled the staves for centuries of music before us.
Roberto Manuzzi's "musical paintings" also have a characteristic that makes them naturally lovable, namely their descriptive power and emotional charge. Wisely, the composer from Ferrara does not forgo melody, but knows how to support it with harmonies that are never trivial, yet not ostentatiously academic either.
He makes lightness his strength, just as only an impressionistic sketch by Monet can.
Walking towards the sky, Manuzzi's saxophones accompany the listener on a calm journey, which begins at sunset and continues into the night: a journey permeated with a rich vitality, expressive and cultivated, but above all never cloyingly afflicted by pedantic vanity or, worse, by ingratiating banality.

Roberto Manuzzi
A versatile musician, saxophonist, and composer, he was born in Rome and has long resided in Ferrara. He is the author of soundtracks for theater and cinema, a teacher and experimenter of various contemporary musical languages. He has released several CDs under his own name with various record labels and many others as an arranger and performer. From 1979 to 1990, he continuously collaborated with the Friulian percussionist Andrea Centazzo as a soloist and arranger, working with musicians such as Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Gianluigi Trovesi, Radu Malfatti, Albert Mangelsdorff, and participating in some of the most important jazz festivals in Italy and abroad. He is the didactic coordinator of jazz courses and a teacher of jazz ensemble music at the "G. Frescobaldi" Conservatory in Ferrara. From 1986 to 2013, he was the saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist of the group of the famous singer-songwriter Francesco Guccini, participating in all his tours and the creation of his discographic works. His compositions are published by EUFONIA and WICKY MUSIC publishing houses.
Paola Tagliani
A pianist with great expressive and technical skills, she was born in Ferrara where she resides and where she attended the local Conservatory, graduating in piano with top honors under the guidance of Professor Rina Cellini. Subsequently, at the same institute, she obtained, again with top honors, a two-year second-level degree in Musical Disciplines (piano).
A teacher and educator, she performs in concerts both in chamber ensembles and in orchestral formations. She has collaborated on television productions and the sound design of multimedia events. She has performed solo and in duo with Rina Cellini music by Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms at the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara in various concert seasons. With the "Orchestra Città di Ferrara", she has also performed concerts K413, K414, K415 by W. A. Mozart and the concerto in G major by Haydn (with the cadenza written by Nino Rota).

Great for busy feet

My five-year-old daughter loves these Skechers slip-ins—and she is not easy on her shoes! You can see in the photo, she’s already put plenty of miles on them. They’ve been through the washing machine at least twice and still look great—the bright colors are a big hit with her and they hold up well in the wash. One of the elastic bands on top did come loose, but I was able to fix it quickly with a dab of superglue. She slips them on and off all by herself, which is perfect as we’re still learning to tie laces. All in all, a great purchase for the price—especially since kids grow so fast and put their shoes through a lot!

Fantastic, stylish, and easy shoes!
Size: 2.5 Little Kid, Color: Aqua/Multi
My daughter LOVES these and wears them daily. She says they're really comfy and they slip on easily. They've held up for several months of daily wear so far and are still going strong!
