FEA-F Network Rail black RHTT (twin pack) - 642006 Sandite+Water+Tank & 642047 Sandite+Tank+Tank (Pack 1)

The 2005 railhead treatment train (RHTT) season marked a major step in Network Rail’s modernisation, introducing purpose-built FEA-F wagons and replacing an assortment of ageing second-hand vehicles. Fifty 60-ft flats, built in Poland by Greenbrier Europe, were numbered 642001–642050 and designed to carry modular equipment, allowing retirement of General Utility Vans and TTA water tanks. Earlier KFA wagons had already introduced large water tanks and high-pressure jetting systems, later supplemented by Sandite applicators capable of operating at up to 60mph.

Operational changes accompanied the new fleet. The dominance of English Welsh & Scottish Railway ended in 2004 as Direct Rail Services (DRS) and GB Railfreight took on contracts, while Class 37 locomotives gave way to Class 66 and 67 traction. DRS led operations in 2005, using a mix of locomotives across regional circuits.

Typical formations combined water-jetting and Sandite modules with multiple water tanks, sometimes adding extra wagons for long-distance routes. Subsequent developments included revised nozzle arrangements in 2007, wider operator involvement, and module upgrades such as larger fuel tanks in 2009. Additional wagons joined the fleet in 2013 following refurbishment. By 2025, operation of 29 trainsets was shared between Colas and GB Railfreight, employing a varied mix of modern and heritage locomotives.

Loved it
Format: Kindle
This book was a Rollercoaster of emotions and I was all about it. I love the relationship between Luca and Juliette bc it was real and human. It showed growth, love, and understanding. It wasn't easy but it was real. I enjoyed every moment of it especially the soul marks. That was a wonderful element to the plot that I would love to read more of.

So cute
Format: Paperback
Ok, going into this, I didn't realize this had any fantasy-ish/magical elements, so for a minute, that threw me off. But honestly, I was really pleasantly surprised by this book. I had never heard of Katie Chandler before, but had seen the book mentioned on a list of upcoming releases so I just thought I would give it a try. This is a classic rivals to lovers story and I was here for it! Luca and Juliette were pretty nasty to each other in the beginning so it definitely took a minute for them to come around. I really enjoyed the amount of character growth that happened in this story. Juliette especially comes a long way within herself to be a better person her Luca and for herself. It was definitely a bit of a rollercoaster with the push and pull, but it paid off in the end. The idea of a "fated mates" situation, in a mostly contemporary romance was definitely original and I look forward to seeing how she might incorporate those fantasy elements into future books. 4 stars from me! Great story.

Underdeveloped Debut
Format: Kindle
Chandler’s debut novel started out as an engaging read, though the storyline leaned heavily on a trope that is used too frequently. The protagonists, Juliette and Luca, had great chemistry as rivals. However, as the plot developed and the supernatural twist was revealed (which felt akin to the film In Time, but only with respect to the tattoos), both lost their appeal. Luca seemed to lack depth, despite the fact that she was supposed to be the more emotional and sensitive one. Juliette was insufferable at times and I did not believe the growth she underwent in order to find her way back to Luca. The supporting characters were forgettable and their interactions with Juliette and Luca did nothing to save the characterization flaws. The conflict between Juliette and Luca seemed forced towards the middle and end too, as Luca put in more effort into their relationship than Juliette did. By the end of the novel, unfortunately, my eyes reverted to skimming the pages, so I could finish it faster. Please note that while I found fault with most elements of the novel, it overall was not an unpleasant read— just very dull. Thank you to NetGalley and Atria, as I was invited to read this novel after receiving an e-mail from Atria Books.
