Fragrant Honeysuckle is a stiff branched bushy deciduous shrub with a spreading habit and dark green leaves that can have a blue ting.  Extremely fragrant clusters of small tube-like flowers bloom in early spring before the foliage emerges and is followed by red berries.  Grows best in the south with the roots in part sun and moist well-drained soil.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water Regularly.   Some susceptibility to leaf spot, powdery mildew, and blight.  Watch for aphids, scale, sawfly, whitefly, loopers, plant hoppers, flea beetles and webworm.  Prune after flowering.
LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Wildlife Gardens, Woodland Gardens, Hedge, and Containers.
