The Sille Slipover is worked from the top down in a knit and purl structure pattern with two strands of yarn held together throughout. First the back yoke is worked, then the shoulders, and then the front yoke are worked flat. After this, the front and back yoke are joined and the body is worked in the round, and finally rib edges are worked along the neck and armhole openings.

Eight Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL)
The sizes are designed to fit an approximate bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) cm

Finished Measurements of Garment
Bust circumference: 92 (96) 104 (108) 116 (128) 136 (148) cm
Length: 52 (54) 56 (57) 59 (61) 63 (65) cm (measured mid back incl. neck edge)
Shoulder width: 38 (38) 41 (42) 43 (45) 47 (47) cm

Size Guide
Note that these measurements are only achieved if the correct gauge is kept.

The Sille Slipover is designed to have approx. 6cm - 10cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 6-10cm larger in circumference than your chest measurement to ensure comfort and enable you to wear clothing underneath the sweater.

Begin by knitting a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge before starting the project. For example, if you measure 90cm around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S slipover has a bust circumference of 96cm, which in the given example would give you 6cm of positive ease. If you would like a more oversize fit, knit a size larger.

Gauge: 20 stitches x 32 rows = 10 x 10cm in textured stitch pattern on 4mm needles with 2 strands of yarn held together, after blocking.

Suggested needles: Circular needles: 4mm / 60 and 80cm needles; Circular needles 3.5mm / 40cm and 60cm or Double-pointed needles: 3.5mm, unless using the Magic loop method on the armhole and neck bands.

Materials:

Yarn: There are 2 suggested options of yarns for this garment. 1) 2 strands of 5ply Sport weight llama or fine alpaca yarn or 2) one strand of a worsted Aran weight wool yarn.

Suggestion 1: 400 (400-450) 450-500 (450-500) 500 (550) 600 (650) grams of a Sport weight alpaca blend yarn (based on 50 g = 150 m) worked with two strands of yarn held together. We suggest Sporti alpaca wool blend yarn would work well for this slipover.

Suggestion 2: 300 (350) 350 (400) 400 (450) 450 (500) grams of a 10ply worsted weight yarn based on a meterage of approx. (50 g = 91 m)

Too small
Much smaller than it appeared to me in the picture. I did not read the length as I should. I would not have bought it if I saw it before purchasing. My 18 month old grandson now has a new toy.

Aggressive chewers have met their match.
Size: 10.5 inch Rubber Flex Tread
We purchased this toy in 2022, it finally broke last night. Four years of rough play with 2 boxers who are aggressive chewers. They would tug together, gnaw on it for hours, and often leave it outside exposed to the elements, but this toy just kept going. It was by far their favorite toy, it kept them busy for hours. I just ordered a replacement. Well worth the money, perfect size. Highly recommend.

Durable, fun, and safe for my dog
Size: 10.5 inch Rubber Flex Tread
I have a 10 month old, 50 lb mutt who has the musculature of a pit bull and the muzzle of a GSD. Buttercup’s favorite past-time is shredding toys into teeny tiny bits, but sometimes those bits don’t come back out of her mouth. She can’t have tennis balls, stuffies, anything with a squeaker, silicone toys, plastic toys, rubber toys with spikes or small appendages, anything with rope, or most chews & bones. She chewed her first and only $8+ XL bully stick like a corn chip. Finding indoor enrichment is a challenge. Buttercup is extremely pleased with this tire tug thingy, it is very ergonomic for both her and me to get a handle on it, it has more movement than any other toy she can safely have, and it’s very durable. After more than a week, there’s only a little bit of tread missing, which is definitely the best-case outcome with a super chewer. I think this is a good alternative to GoNut toys because it’s solid & dense while also a little bit easier & more interesting to play with, and very unlike GoNuts, this Tonka toy is very reasonably priced. I also think this it’s a good size for almost any breed of dog—I could definitely picture a little Boston or Frenchie dangling from one end. Highly recommended!
