This really is an amazing ring, and the setting of the opal is one of the finest we have ever seen. In the centre is a white precious opal with play of colour. It has flashes of all the colours in the rainbow, especially the much rarer and sought after red hues. The opal is wonderfully set off by the surrounding diamonds and Burma rubies on the shoulders. 

A lot of thought has gone into the design of this ring. The gallery (underside) of the ring is exquisitely executed.  The ring is finished with millegraining (beading the edge of metalwork), which takes away the sharp edges, softens the look and emphasises the diamond's sparkle and frames the rubies. It is such a skill to be able to make metal disappear into the design and only highlight the stones. Overall, this is a pretty fabulous ring!
