ÒHere is wisdom: Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and sixÓ (Revelation 13:18). This full-color book examines the life of Nero Caesar, the insane, homicidal dictator of Imperial Rome. Laying blame on the Christians for the Great Fire of Rome that decimated much of the city, Nero rebuilt a large pleasure palace and a public garden where he executed multitudes of early believers in bizarre reenactments of pagan myths. As he slid deeper into madness, Nero proclaimed that he was the all-powerful king of the world Ð the sun god and savior who had been prophesied to arise in the East Ð some said from the city of Jerusalem. A little-known fact of history is that Nero launched a war against Judea because he hoped to squelch the messianic fervor in the region and move his throne to Jerusalem. // Using some recently uncovered documentation, the case for a preterist interpretation of Revelation 13:18 is succinctly laid out with the aid of visually appealing graphic illustrations. A fascinating look into a too-often neglected area of study, this book is organized in the form of questions frequently posed by critics and answered by well-attested yet seldomly taught evidences for the preterist view. // ¥ Is Nero the Beast of Revelation? ¥ How did NeroÕs women play a role in the birthing of the Christian Church? ¥ What were the circumstances of the Apostle PaulÕs first imprisonment in Rome? ¥ Why does the account of The Book of Acts end so abruptly after chapter 28? ¥ Why did Nero build a nearly 100-foot tall statue of himself? ¥ What is the evidence that 666 equals the number of Nero? ¥ When was PaulÕs second imprisonment under Nero? ¥ Was NeroÕs persecution of Christians localized or empire-wide? ¥ Did Peter write his Second Epistle from Jerusalem or Rome? ¥ Was the Book of Revelation written while Nero was the Emperor? ¥ How did NeroÕs persecution of the Church end? ¥ Was Nero really that bad? ¥ How is the ÒNeron Caesar PapyrusÓ a key to a preterist interpretation of Revelation 13:18? ¥ Is the correct spelling of Nero Caesar in Hebrew actually NRWN QSR? ¥ Why would Greek-speaking Christians count the Number of the Beast in Hebrew? ¥ What is the Mark of the Beast? ¥ Is the Beast the same Satanic entity as the Antichrist? ¥ What are sixteen marks of the Beast in Revelation 13 that point to Nero? ¥ How is the Beast of Revelation portrayed in popular culture?

Great way to add even more depth to Black Spire Outpost
Format: Paperback
Having just visited Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, I really enjoyed learning more layers of depth and stories from there with this collection of comics. Having read "A Crash of Fate" and "Black Spire" was a great way to do that as well, but this was obviously a quicker read, and also spanned many different times and with some different characters, too. Great for readers with shorter attention spans, too! Recommended!

A great tie-in to the Disney parks
Format: Paperback
Welcome to the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu! I haven't been yet, but you may have if you've recently visited Disney World or Disney Land. There's obviously a lot of references to how the actual park looks. The cover featured the Millenium Falcon just like the actual attraction. This graphic novel tells one story focusing on one of the original characters made for the parks: Dok-Ondar. Within the big story there are four smaller tales being retold. Han Solo deals with a baby sarlacc. Greedo's ego is showcased. Hando comes in contact with the Guardians of the Whills. And, Doctor Aphra travels to the Sith Homeworld of Moraband. Each of these stories show off different aspects of the park that you can see for yourself if you go in person. This is what Star Wars does so well, making connections and building a big lived-in world. There are plenty of wonderful references. Ki-Adi-Mundi and Chirrut are just two of my favorites. Dok-Ondar is the true star of this book. He's an underworld mastermind. I give this book a 3.5/5. It's full of fun stories with connections to the park and featured characters from different eras. This definitely is a tie-in story, though.

Good point of entry into Star Wars comics
Format: Paperback
I love Star Wars and have been enjoying seeing the expanded universe. Honestly, sometimes the focus on Jedis and Siths is a bit of a distraction from understanding what life would be like in that galaxy.

Great set of stories that ties in many of your favorite charecters
Format: Paperback
A simple yet great set of stories that tie in many of your favorite characters into the Galaxy's Edge/Baatu environment. I am not a huge comic reader, but I did very much enjoy. It is a quick read overall.
