Pet Oral and Dental Hygiene is so important for your pets. They’re unable to tell us when they’re in pain so checking their gums and teeth regularly is important. Treats for use in training sessions: Treats are a useful tool in the process of training because they helps to keep your pet concentrated on you and the learning process, whatever age they are. For training purposes, treats should ideally be small and easily swallowed, needing little chewing so you can reward behaviours quickly and often. Perfect treats for training are relatively soft and about the size of a pea. Pets aren’t overly concerned about the size of the treat, it’s the quantity that impresses them. Bigger treats are more suitable for good behaviour rewards, such as chunky pieces, as your pet has to stop, chew and take time to eat it. How to use dog treats most effectively: The most effective way to use treats is to reinforce a calm, submissive state. Never use treats to reward an excited, over-stimulated state of mind. Always let your pet smell the treat first, but hold it up away from them and wait. Remember pets, especially dogs, can smell from over 5 metres plus away so you don’t have to put the treat under their nose. Once they have the scent, dogs may initially jump around, and even jump on you. If this happens, indicate that you don’t approve with your attitude and body language, your patience as an owner will pay off in a well-behaved pet. They will figure out that the cool calm approach delivers results, sitting and waiting while looking at you in quiet anticipation. At the moment of calm, give them the treat. Don’t use treats to reinforce an excited pet, but rather to command the calm, submissive state. What kind of treats are suitable for your breed, size and age of dog or cat? We recommend that your pet consumes treats under supervision, especially when trying out a new treat. Many dogs are inclined to want to wolf down a treat without even chewing so watch over all sizes and ages until you are sure they can manage without choking incidents. Cats generally will gnaw on a treat without trying to consume it in seconds. Smaller dogs naturally may find shanks bones etc a little large, and large pooches may try to gobble medium size harder treats without chewing, older pets with dental problems would need a softer chew, so it’s a matter of judging on your pet’s size and eating behaviours.Feeding Guidelines
Don’t over-treat ~ Although it may be tempting when your furry significant other begs for more, don’t be over generous and keep treats regulated. Treats are meant to be supplemental to your pet’s diet. As with us, too many treats may cause weight gain and it will also upset the balance of your pets diet, which must be complete and balanced to keep them healthy. Ideally treats per day should not be more than 10% of your pets daily required calories, so do reduce regular meal portions to avoid weight gain, taking into consideration what they have eaten treat wise throughout training sessions in a day. This also applies to treats given as general rewards for good behaviour. If you don’t do this, your pet will slowly gain weight and excess kilos carried above the ideal are bad for your pet’s health. Treat Wise ~ We always recommend that your pet consumes treats under supervision, especially when trying out a new treat. Some dogs (unusual for cats) are over ’zealous’ when it comes to tasty morsels and may not chew properly, resulting a possible choking situation. When to give treats to your pet ~ In between meals is the ideal time to give treats and not immediately before or after a meal. Choose a treat that your pet will enjoy. If you are using treats as a training tool, your treat won’t work as well right after your pet has had a full meal. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Fun, both heartwarming and heartbreaking

Only my second first person written selection, I am still getting used to that aspect, but unlike my first, I enjoyed that the story was told through both MCs. A great enemies to lovers, forced proximity, fated love etc, that resonated to me. There were some small twists that I could see coming, but also a few that I didn’t quite see until the characters were also seeing. Personally, I am more interested in the story than the spice, but with that said, it was well seasoned! I am kind of new to the spice world so I can’t say for sure how this would rate, but it definitely had some heat. I am very glad I happened across this author, and I do plan on also reading the next book….if nothing else, just to see for myself the “transformation” of the characters I’ve grown to love!

😍😍 BEST DEBUT NOVEL EVER
Format: Paperback
I’m having trouble finding accurate words to describe the way this book made me feel, but I am going to do my best.
To start off with basic elements, the character and world building are phenomenal. I feel a strong bond to not only the two main characters, Ara and Rogue, but to each and every character introduced throughout the book. The author did a stellar job of giving each of them unique personhood. All of the scenes are beautifully described. So much so that throughout the entirety of the book, I could see every scene: the towns, the castles, the meadows, the landscape. I have had difficulty with this and with distinguishing between outlying characters while reading in the past, but I did not have to think to remember details of world or character building because they flowed naturally within the story and were described well. I have read book series before that made me want to be a part of that world, but I actually felt like I got to step into Auryna and Ravaryn!
The plot twists!! Although this is not a suspense novel, it still had me on a rollercoaster of emotions and on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I haven’t cried actual tears over a book since I was in high school (and I’ve read a LOT). This book finally broke the floodgates in the final few chapters. Multiple times. And we love a good cliffhanger. It truly made me FEEL.
THE SPICE is a solid 3.5/5. Some of the scenes had me flushed, some had me taking notes, some just had my jaw slack and my mouth hanging open. Bravo, JD Linton, bravo.
The relationships: friendships, family, romantic, ALL of the relationships in this book have so much meaning. The author does a great job at making you feel the love, the anger, the peace, the frustrations, the safety, the familiarity, etc. between the characters.
Ara and Rogue. I can not say enough and I also do not want to say too much. Just know that I feel like I know them both, to their core. I know what their childhood looks likes, their darkest moments, their biggest fears, their dreams and passions, what they want in life… The POV switches were seamless. I am so happy this author decided to let us see from both sets of eyes.
I can not wait for book two after that cliffhanger. And there is SO much potential for at least one prequel, I can’t wait to see where this author goes! I hope this series continues and flourishes. Fingers crossed!

Amazing!

This book was phenomenal, I devoured it within a few days! For this being a debut novel, it is fantastic and I would’ve thought the author was a seasoned author. I have zero complaints about this book.
Let me start by saying that the world building was phenomenal. I could picture everything in my head because of how detailed it was — that’s how good it was written. And I absolutely love the “captive/captor” trope so much, it’s become one of my favorite tropes, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book had that.
I loved the banter between Rogue and Ara — they’re both snarky and witty, plus with the romantic tension, it made the dialogue that much better. Speaking of romantic tension, yes there is spice but not so much of it that it overrides the plot, which I loved. For me, this would probably be on the 3/5 level of spice.
This book had a ton of plot twists and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

High on Tropes and Satisfaction
Format: Kindle
This is a great Romantasy book full of action, adventure, and everything you look for in this genre.
I won’t lie: it does kinda feel like the author found every common trope from every successful book of this kind and threw them all into this novel. But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially in romance, there’s a large audience who has specific expectations, and they want them every time. Nothing wrong with that and many times I’m one of them.
I have no idea what defines a spoiler honestly, so
spoiler alert!!!!!!!
Tropes include:
Only one bed at the inn/bar
Dissatisfaction with life before hunk appears
Lost royalty
The chosen one
Montage of dress up time followed by shocked hunk
Forbidden romance between two from rival peoples
Power that cannot be controlled, simply guided/asked
Gathering intel at the inn/bar
FMC who knows how to fight/use weapons well
There’s probably more but no need to list them all.
Good story and I would recommend!

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.
