Edith Hahn Beer was an outspoken young law student living in Vienna when the Gestapo forced her first into a ghetto, and then into a labor camp. There she met Werner Vetter, a Nazi Party member who fell in love with her. Despite Edith's protests and even her eventual confession that she was Jewish, he married her and kept her identity a secret.
The Nazi Officer's Wife details the constant terror of being a Jew hidden living in Nazi Germany. Even while giving birth to her daughter, Beer refused all painkillers, afraid that in an altered state of mind she might reveal something of her past. Her memoir is an eloquent testament to one woman's extraordinary courage and will to survive. Edith Hahn Beer (1914 - 2009) was born in Vienna, Austria. She and Warner Vetter divorced in 1947, and she later lived in Netanya, Israel. Her daughter, Angela, lives in London and is believed to be the only Jew born in a Reich hospital in 1944. Susan Dworkin is a prolific novelist, playwright, and television writer. She has collaborated on projects that have received Peabody and Emmy awards and has been nominated for the National Book Award. Her writing has appeared in many publications, including Ms. Magazine and Ladies' Home Journal. Love this keyboard, I chose the ProtoArc EM11 NL Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse to go with it. Could not be more pleased with quality and heft of the keyboard specially at the price point. Whisper silent and easy to pair. Excellent choice.

Had to come back and downgrade to 1 star. Keyboard quit on me after 3 months. Phantom keystrokes, like I was holding down one letter. It was a slow burn until I couldn’t take it anymore. Thought it was a one off. Replaced the batteries etc. If you just need something for a month or so while waiting or saving for something better, go for it. Totally fits the ‘you get what you pay for’ idiom.

Great Keyboard

I bought the keyboard only, because I already had the bluetooth mouse. This is a very good keyboard. I was concerned when ordering that the keys maybe be mushy without having seen a display, but I've not found them to be so at all. The keys do not click loudly like every other keyboard I've ever used, but the keys are every bit responsiveness and snap like others. After using it a couple hours, I don't really notice the lack of clicking . . . and found it actually does have its own distinct muffled sound.

Well Worth the Money

I bought this keyboard after my last bluetooth one crapped out. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, and it's not. But it is comfortable, and I like the way the keys feel. Honestly, I even like the way it looks.
The only downside is that one of the control buttons near the shift button will erase an entire sentence or two if it is accidently touched. That's annoying, but not enough for me to give it a four star.
It's fairly quiet. I actually like the way it sounds.
I use it every day, sometimes for a couple of hours. The batteries are going strong.
I am glad I didn't go for a more expensive option. It doesn everything I want it to.
It's compatible with my tablet and connects right away. I don't even have to reconnect it every time. I just start tapping the keys and it is ready to go fairly quickly.
Over all, this is a great value for your money. I highly reccommend it.
