Six Questions Your Salata Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using detailed research on the fast-casual healthy eating sector. Key assumptions, including the $1.425 million year-one revenue target and the 8% total royalty and marketing burden, are pre-populated and fully editable to reflect your specific market conditions. This tool ensures you have a data-driven business plan before signing a lease or committing capital.

When will the unit become profitable?

This unit becomes profitable in April 2026, just four months after the initial launch. With a year-one EBITDA of $410,000, the model shows that the high throughput of salad and wrap sales quickly offsets the initial startup and operating hurdles.

Boost Store Margins

  • Optimize catering order mix
  • Minimize ingredient waste
  • Control peak-hour labor
[dynamic_pic9]

How much capital is required?

You need approximately $630,000 to launch this unit, covering everything from the $40,000 franchise fee to $350,000 in leasehold improvements. This total investment ensures the facility can handle the rapid assembly and high-volume catering required for the Midtown market.

Primary Capital Uses

  • Leasehold Improvements: $350,000
  • Kitchen Equipment: $120,000
  • Franchise Fee: $40,000
[dynamic_pic10]

What is the expected ROI?

Investors can expect a 5.02% internal rate of return and a 3-year payback period on their initial capital. While the upfront costs are significant, the 2.39 return on equity demonstrates the long-term value of a well-located, high-traffic salad franchise unit.

Investor Success Metrics

  • 5.02% Internal Rate of Return
  • 3-Year Payback Period
  • 2.39 Return on Equity
[dynamic_pic11]

What is the break-even point?

The monthly break-even point is reached in month four, provided you maintain a steady volume of salad and wrap sales. The primary driver for break-even is managing the $18,000 monthly rent, which requires high daily traffic and efficient throughput during lunch rushes.

Path to Break-Even

  • Secure recurring catering contracts
  • Maintain 15% combined COGS
  • Maximize digital order volume
[dynamic_pic12]

What is the cash runway?

The lowest cash point occurs in March 2026 at $619,000, which is the first month of operations. You defintely need to maintain a cash buffer during the build-out phase to handle the gap between paying for equipment and seeing your first catering revenue.

Protect Your Liquidity

  • Phase equipment payments
  • Negotiate rent abatement
  • Manage opening inventory levels
[dynamic_pic13]

How do scenarios impact results?

In a high-growth scenario, year-five EBITDA can reach $923,000, significantly shortening the payback period. However, if revenue underperforms by 10%, the 5.02% IRR could dip, making local marketing and fitness studio partnerships essential for maintaining traffic.

Drive High-Case Results

  • Execute local fitness partnerships
  • Optimize mobile pickup efficiency
  • Upsell premium house-made dressings

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

Format: Kindle
I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
