Charles D. Hudson was a landmark leader whose influence and guidance touched every aspect of life in his hometown of LaGrange, Georgia. Hudson served on the Board of Trustees of Fuller E. Callaway Foundation for 39 years and was owner and president of Hammond, Hudson & Holder Insurance Agency. Hudson served on the Georgia Board of Corrections for 24 years, including two terms as chairman, and was a founding member of the Troup County Historical Society and the Chattahoochee Valley Art Museum. He was on the board of West Georgia Medical Center, Scottish Rite Hospital, the LaGrange Board of Education, and LaGrange College, among others. He was honored as a Rotarian with 33 years of perfect attendance, earning the highest honors from the local, state and international Rotary organizations. He was a member of the Masons, the Gridiron Club and the LaGrange Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Here for the first time, Hudson recounts the story of his life in his own words.
