This book documents a social network based on web servers we carry around with us from place to place, networking out in the physical world. The network also contains a version of the book itself, on self-replicating code which installs itself on new servers as they are built. Each book tells you how to make more servers which copy the book and so on. It is an open book, released into the Public Domain to be shared, replicated, and edited by anyone any time anywhere.
